giant-size issues are under the Giant Size tab on the regular title's listing, and you can also use the dropdown menu under Comic Type on the main search page, https://comicspriceguide.com/search and pick Giant Size (and just use 'X-Men' in the title box and '1' in the issue number). This is faster than waiting for the X-Men title to load. it's here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/x-men/1giant_size/scxviv

I'd say the 'official' site would be Ozzy's, so here's the page with it: https://store.ozzy.com/collections/patient-no-9/products/ltd-edition-comic-book-by-todd-mcfarlane-w-cd-in-mini-jacket some sellers say it's limited to 5,000, but the website just says limited edition, but likely it's stated in the package. CGC census info says: Art Comments: Todd McFarlane story & cover, Jonathan Glapion art
e*** prices are all over the place as usual, most are for the whole CD or LP & comic package, but the site still says they have it for $19.98 for the CD package, or at least it loads in the shopping cart that way. There's a foil cover variant too, but can't find a good pic of an unsigned copy so far, so not gonna waste more time on it.

Someone needs to scan one somewhere. and the foil is so similar to the regular cover it's hard to tell the difference in pics, like on Ozzy's site with that blue smoke set. I could crop out just the comic, but it looks the same as the regular pic one. no biggie, CPG can list a foil version and just wait for someone to find a pic some day. |

helps if you say what year the series is, since some have multiple volumes, and if you look inside at the indicia info at the bottom of the 1st page usually, it will tell you the correct title.
Wolverine / Ghostrider dual(marvel comics present) issue no.39,45,46,48,49,50,51,94,95,96,97,98,99,101,102,103,116,117,118. Actual title is Marvel Comics Presents, they have therm all. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/marvel-comics-presents/rjpy . It's a flip book with 2 covers, and they don't show you both covers.
Morbius (Midnight massacre) issue no.12. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/morbius-the-living-vampire/12/rirvo
Avengers Westcoast issue no.85. West Coast is 2 words. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/avengers-west-coast/85/vmrqh
Terrax issue no.2. Correct title is Cosmic Powers, like it says down the side: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/cosmic-powers/2/vcss
Excalibur issue no.37. not sure why you couldn't find this, but it's here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/excalibur/37B/tmuwm
BLAZE / Ghostrider issue no.16,15,14. I assume you mean Ghost Rider/Blaze Spirits of Vengeance? they have them all: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/ghost-rider-blaze-spirits-of-vengeance/smxs
Darkhawk issue no.32: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/darkhawk/32/tnpsl

Thanks, Ron. Should I add the foil cover as a variant? Like I said, I can scan in the one I have, but it is signed and in a case so it may not make the best pic. based on usual CPG standards, a signed copy wouldn't do, as it may confuse collectors since there are normal unsigned ones, so you don't want people to think there's only signed copies, although most are, going by the CGC census. I don't think it's that important at this point to have a pic of the foil version since they both have gold ink titles and look almost identical in the pics I've found. Eventually a scan of an unsigned copy will show up on e*** or google images that's usable. No biggie either way. if you scan yours and it comes out ok, I assume you can crop out the CGC case to the edge of the comic. |

Do you have any others from 1 of the other album sets to compare? I'm beginning to think there's no variant edition. All the pics on Ozzy's site of the comic look the same, but there's no stand-alone ones of just the comic. The ones on e*** are inconclusive due to mostly bad pics or square-on good pics that all make the title look the same, so hard to tell if it's gold foil or just gold ink. CGC has been known to make mistakes with variants that do and don't exist, so they may not be correct either. I've notified them of multiple variant identification problems myself.
And it's not clear if the 'foil' part only refers to the title, or the whole cover, since they can do whole foil covers of course, but since only the title is in gold, I'd think it's only the title that would be foil. You or Xvipah could clear that up for us. I just emailed Sony Music to ask them if there were 2 versions of the comic, so will post if/when they answer.
So you can take some pics and attach them to a post, but unless you have both supposed versions, it may not tell us much. Use the 'attach files' button at the bottom of the post area.

ok, after checking out your pics and again on e*** with the 1 CGC foil copy, and reading Xvipah's post, I can now see that there does seem to be a gold variant, most noticeable by Ozzy's face and the hands of the 'people', which are yellowish/gold color vs the more white color of the regular edition. So like Xvipah said, I'm also guessing whoever took the set pics on Ozzy''s site just used the same regular edition comic on all. Possibly at the time they didn't have the gold foil ones in time maybe?
Tarn, CPG needs square-on pics, which you can do by standing over the comic and holding your phone directly above it, but not sure how reflective that cover may be that way, so your/camera reflection could show in the pic. A scan would be better, maybe you know someone with a scanner? Lots of free sites to use that will reduce the physical size and file size, and crop it to the edges, or if you have a real computer, you may have a built-in photo editor, windows usually includes one.
update hours later---Sony had replied around noon, but it went to a spam folder, which doesn't tell you it has anything in it until you hover over the folder, so just saw it tonight.
and as usual, you don't get a direct/correct answer to the question from any company any more. They said they 'only had the 1 comic version AVAILABLE now, and the link I sent to 1 of the foil sets was sold out.' argh. not what I asked them, so explained again what we wanted to know.
but methinks it's answered anyway now, so getting a good pic of the foil version for someone to submit is the next thing to get this done. edited by collectibleshop on 2/16/2023 |

ok, cool. I copied and it reduced the size and tweaked it some, and have submitted it as a variant. The background color may be iffy, but good enough for now.
Sony wrote back and gave me the same dumb answer---"we only have the 1 comic for sale on the site'. I've asked twice, simply, 'did you make two versions of the cover?'. how hard is that to answer?
anyway, guess that it's on this book for now. thanks to you and Xvipah for the info/pics. |

Hi, couple things. wrong forum for this, you want the Database and Missing Issue forum: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topics.aspx?ForumID=15 This forum is for technical problems with the site.
you can add variants yourself, but you need a better square-on pic. I found 1 and attached it. You can copy and save it, then do this:
go to the issue's listing: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/assassins-creed/1/pjttkuq Click the Variants tab. Go to the bottom of all those, and click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button. You must be logged in to do this stuff.
Fill in the info fields on the next page as best you can. Then click the 'upload file' button down there and upload your pic and click the green submit button at the bottom, and they'll get to adding it whenever. if you can't do it, post in the Database forum and say so (use the 'attach files' button the bottom of the compose window and attach my pic if you saved it), and I can do it for you next time I'm by.

2nd and later printing

the standard answer is no, it's not a variant, it's just a later printing, even if there was a slightly different cover. Like the Killing Joke, that has many different printings with different color titles, and they're just listed as reprints. But PRICES can be very different for them due to the colors and lower number printed, for the completists.
I assume it's this one?: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/wonder-woman/2_trade%20paper%20back/xmrujq .so note that CPG doesn't even list any later printings for it. No real point if all the covers are the same and there's no interior difference (like when some reprints include new material or extra stuff)., and therefore no value difference. edited by collectibleshop on 2/18/2023 |

as for reporting missing issues, don't you see the "Database & Missing Issue Discussion" forum right below this one? https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/forum15-database--missing-issue-discussion.aspx
and you can save yourself some work if you try a forum search for a maybe missing title first. Death's Head and other UK titles comes up all the time on here, so it's been answered multiple times. See this thread for my search tips (4th post down): https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic12110-evil-ernie-youth-gone-wild-directors-cut.aspx https://comicspriceguide.com/faqs for a few How To answers about submitting missing images and reporting missing issues etc. Watch CPG's 'How To' youtube videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3eOHtGDGIs0GGohUDuypf3TlQM2aupdo
