Huh, I couldn't find any UK Rin Tin Tin in the database, tried Rintintin too. comics.org lists them tho, for whoever at CPG wants the scans and info, and they show 9 issues: https://www.comics.org/series/79060/covers/ |

Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back (autographed) Random House 1980 --likely not listed as they don't usually list autographed stuff unless it's like a numbered edition hardcover. Need more info tho.
Heavy Metal Metal Mammoth 1994. Can't find it either, not listed under the Specials tab for 1977 Heavy Metal where I thought it would be. Need more publishing info and pic. Find a pic thru google images and just post the URL to it.
Robotech Art 1 Donning 1986-- what is this? Donning is not listed under Publishers here. Is this an ART book about Robotech vs a comic or graphic novel? If so, it won't be here.

you're welcome. as Laroo42 pointed out, the publishing info inside the books will give you more info. On the Dark Knight trade paperbacks, it will say what printing it is, although sometimes if it's a first print it won't say that, but later will printings will say second, third, etc.. Just match up the cover image on the list on that link I gave you (although they don't have all the covers), and the cover price and year etc, and that will tell you what edition it is. Doesn't make much difference in price though.
Same with the Heavy Metal, look inside to see what issue number it is if not on the cover. Metal Mammoth is the publisher's name from 1992-on, so Mammoth may not be part of the mag's title. I tried a couple google searches and only get mentions of Metal Mammoth being the publisher, not a specific issue of "Heavy Metal Mammoth", so you'll need an issue number to look it up under Heavy Metal.
The Robotech book "Provides plot summaries for more than eighty episodes of a Japanese animated science fiction series and shares drawings and profiles of the main characters". It's just a guide book, so likely not going to be listed here, and probably is only worth cover price or less. Assuming this is it?: http://robotech.wikia.com/wiki/Robotech_Art_1

I would like help identifying original comic art:
collectibleshop
|
not my area of expertise here, but I tried many google searches and came up mostly empty for more art examples. Your post has the most actually, couldn't find any others other than 'that' auction site that has 1 piece signed by Sol Fielding (for $200), but in cursive, and no middle name, but the telltale circles over the i's, space between the top of the F and lower part, and elongated tail on the G make it appear to be the same Fielding as yours. Couldn't find any of the Rusty comic strip on google text or image searches that he supposedly did for an LA newspaper, which I find strange. Tried searches with just Fielding and other terms too, no luck. And by the way, these are not comic BOOK art pieces, they're comic strip or cartoon art, published in newspapers and mags. Not that helps in searches apparently. Found several comic strip info/archive sites and they had no Fielding either.
So looked for family members that may be able help you, and his granddaughter may be able to help some. She's on twitter and facebook, and writes a blog and has a few entries about her Grandpa Sol. So if you haven't already found this info, you might be able to contact her thru: https://www.facebook.com/RealAliciaMayer/ https://twitter.com/RealAliciaMayer https://hollywoodessays.com/tag/sol-baer-fielding/
She might know of another relative who's more familiar with the art part of his life, assuming it's the same Fielding. Good luck! edited by collectibleshop on 2/4/2018 |

possibly someone has a list from Overstreet guide too, since they denote many AC1 cover swipes, but I didn't find any on a search.
that oughta get you started.
also, I'd think you'd get more response on the General board, don't you? while AC1 swipes are technically back issues, this seems to be more of an info request topic best suited to General, which probably gets more eyeballs.. edited by collectibleshop on 2/19/2018 edited by collectibleshop on 2/19/2018 edited by collectibleshop on 2/19/2018 |

Collectibleshop, A Google search always seems like the right answer but I want to start a conversation not work alone on a computer. (Can you tell that I like to talk?) Since Overstreet has never been online that would take freaking forever. Do they still publish that? The Pinterest board has some weird ones that I've never heard of. Thanks for all the suggestions.
was just trying to speed things up for you. and yes, of course they still make overstreet (I know, you're probably kidding). my thought on that was that MAYBE someone had already gone thru it and made a cover swipe list somewhere on the net, but I didn't find anything quickly that came up with 'overstreet list of...' in the search terms, so maybe there isn't one. wasn't suggesting you go thru it page by page and do it. They put it out in a downloadable version, but I don't know how searchable that is.
good thing I noted the Pinterest board too, as those may not get listed on here by others either. you're welcome, have fun. edited by collectibleshop on 2/20/2018 |

as for the King Kong Story 1976 (more info woulda helped), is it this the one, at mycomicshop? :https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=21998377 . if so, why should it be in the CPG guide if it's "Articles on the King Kong movies from the thirties to the seventies." Not a comic or comic book TPB.
CPG doesn't list The Star Wars "Official Souvenir Magazine" because it's also not a comic, it's a magazine covering the movie. Google will turn up places selling them to get an idea of price, if that's what you're looking for.
