See the 7 steps above? If you don't wish to remove your book from the bag, you can't scan it for the site per the guidelines.

Large inherited silver age collection (sell?)

Depends. If you time and patience, selling a lot of these individually on Ebay may net you better returns in the long run. If you're looking to sell them all at once, you could also do this on Ebay (but you'd probably make less). Mycomicshop.com buys collections. I've traded with them, and they're pretty good.
If your Fantastic Four 52 is in decent shape, that could get several hundred dollars just for that. Nothing else immediately stood out as a 'hot' book though (mind you, I don't know much about older DCs).

Breakdowns

Breakdowns usually mean the person that lays out the page panels. Depending on the artist, the characters may almost be stick figures without much detail, with the work on defining everything left to the inker. They are much looser than 'pencils'.

If you are a paid member you can export your collection into Excel. From there you can sort into order of most valuable. I'm not sure there is a way to do so in the database.

Dreadstar TV Show

Don't know the status of the TV show, but I don't know if Dreadstar #1 would be the book to go up in value, as he first appeared in Epic Illustrated. It's more likely those are the ones that would see a significant increase in interest if there's a TV series.

Marvel's ressurecting 70s bargain bin characters

Marvel does not profit over back issue sales, so it is not Marvel trying to generate interest and make money from doing so.

Most of this action is due to the movies/televison appearances of the characters, and speculators hoping to cash in on the popularity of these. And that bronze age books are now not as common in higher grades.

If only there was someplace on the internet that had a guide for pricing comics with various grades.

They do. There are references to events in Jessica Jones that directly put Luke Cage in the timeline behind the events of JJ, and the Night Nurse has lines that also put it behind DareDevil in the timeline.

These shows are all supposed to culminate in 'the New Defenders', so yes, they would have a shared continuity. I noticed the Iron Fist trailer teased that he was 'the last defender'. Hur hur.

Star Wars issue 1

In 1983 or 84 Marvel did a comic sized reprint that contained the first three issues of Star Wars, that I believe had a $1.25 cover price. The second issue covered the last 3 parts. It's title something 'Marvel Movie Showcase'. I'm going by memory, as I had it a long time ago, in a galazy far, far away...

I think I picked it up for about $1.50 in 1981, and disliked how it seemed to treat the Marvel and DC comics as if they were beneath the author.

Boy, all those buyers are sure going to feel stupid once they find out that the comic has nothing to do with the movie.

Live Bands

That's funny. I've just spent the past weekend listing all the live shows I've gone to over the years in a spreadsheet, along with dates and venues. Around 175 in total, but not including local bands or local bands that were signed and played in clubs, as there were several years where I went out to watch live bands about once a week. I also didn't include most of the 75 shows or so my band played.

I don't think I've actually seen an artist or band from Australia. I heard AC DC last time they were here, as they played in the park near my house, but that doesn't count.

ASM 238 & 300. Batman Vengeance of Bane. I was too late for most of the bronze age 'big' books. You would never find any X-men on the racks (I think some collector guy was buying them all up. It wasn't until 147 that they started to show regularly.
