This is a 1971 print, it says published by Magazine Management Co. on the inside cover but Marvel Comics Group there also, that did not come up in the database. Scary part is it was the first comic I searched for to add to my new account here and I couldn't find it. I thought I was doing something wrong. I have attached a scan of the comic. Please let me know what other info you may need to add this to your database so I can add it to my collection. " "
Nope, not missing. It's under Captain America Vol. 1. Click on the "Special" tab to the right of the "Monthly" tab you will find your book. Here is a link to it. http://comicspriceguide.com/titles/captain-america/snyx

Does anyone else really wish that they could see a list of ALL their comic titles in alphabetical order, combined, not just by publisher?
Also has there been any talks about creating an app for easier searching and adding to your system while on the go? (would be super handy while out comic hunting)
Finally, anyone else have issues with all the running ads on the site bogging down their browser?
Yes, The old CPG site did something just like that. It was great. All listings without the pics for each comic company, All one had to do was scroll down one page to find what they were looking for.
The adds are bogging the site down for me too, "Please CPG remove some of them!!!.." |

You are talking about ASM #365 i presume. It has a sweet hologram cover. The book is the 1st App: Miguel O'Hara AKA, Spider-Man 2099 (was mentioned in a episode of the "The Big Bang Theory" show). Here is a link to the book, Under Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1. http://comicspriceguide.com/collection/marvel/amazing-spider-man/365/pjqvjq Worth a whopping $8 in NM.

My search skills are not up to par yet, so I thought I'd check in before reporting a missing issue. I figure this has to be in here somewhere. I'm looking for a TPB titled Marvel Comics Presents Wolverine. The indicia states that is a reprint of Wolverine 1-4.
Thank you, everyone.

Your suspicions are correct, It's located under Wolverine (Mini-Series) 1-4. http://comicspriceguide.com/titles/wolverine/rlqt Look to the right of the "Monthly" tab & you'll see the "Trade Paper Back" tab. A link has been provided.
Does it say second print in the indica as it looks like you have a copy.

Not being a comic book it may not be in here, I did have a look but to no avail. Although there are other poster books listed in the CPG database . I got a poster book of Amazing Spider-Man (Todd McFarlane covers) not long ago, It was in OK shape & i could not find it in here.
Unless they are in really good nic. I don't think they'd be worth much but if it's from the 80's as yours sounds like it is, There most certainly would be a market for them. |

Hello everyone!
I've been a member since 2006, but never did anything with the website. I have listed only a fraction of what I have, but I have a question regarding the grading of my collection to eventually sell. I know there are two companies that grade comic books, but I'm trying to grade the books myself because of the pricing of sending my books off for "official" grading. I have uploaded a picture of what I have (mind you I have a few more issues in a bin that I could not fit on the table). If I could get anyone's honest opinion on the potential value of my books I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not a hardcore collector, but I did collect when I was very young and I'm only looking for honest opinions. I have done some research into the raw value, but I'm unsure of what to really look for when trying to grade my books myself. I have visited numerous websites detailing what is examined when grading a comic book, but I really wanted to get the opinion of the community regarding the value.
The truth is no-one can judge the grade of these books you have on the table as the pics don't allow it. Therefore one simply can't value them. Although...there are a couple there that are somewhat popular. Spider-Man 2099 #1 is nice & so is Specky Spider-Man #200. Most UXM will sell, But my favorite that you have is X-Men #24. A sweet cover (a sleeper IMHO) that's worth nothing Lol. Maybe around $20-30 worth of books. I hope i helped you out, Good luck with selling them. |

First, let me apologize for taking so long to respond. My work demands a lot of time, so I have to catch up on a lot of things when I get a day off.
Thanks you for your help, this issue was driving me around the bend.
According to the indicia it is a First Printing.

I did the same thing many a-year ago here on CPG. I wasn't interested at the value just cataloging them. One day i saw that some of my books were worth hundreds each Lol. I knew they weren't. Thought i can't have that...So many months later (like a more than a year later) they are appropriately graded. |

Another example of how difficult it can be to find Disney Comics. Its under the title "Huey, Dewey & Louie Junior Woodchucks" & not Walt Disney. Here is the link, Scroll down to #6 http://comicspriceguide.com/titles/huey-dewey-louie-junior-woodchucks-gold-key-w/pkrpn.
I think this is Your "The Vault of Horror #4" its a Gladstone re-print. http://comicspriceguide.com/titles/vault-of-horror-the/xlvv
I remember these, I have issue 3. They were great. Here is your "Super Heroes Megazine # 1" http://comicspriceguide.com/titles/marvel-super-heroes-megazine/rjuw. Almost sure these came poly-bagged too (might be wrong).

Whilst I have been reading comics for half a century I have never bothered with their rarity value or financial worth. However, I have recently read that the above has some scarcity value. The copy I have was purchased new in 1999, has been read once and subsequently kept in a plastic bag with a card inserted. Is it actually worth anything?
In NM (9.4) RAW, worth around $180. In NM (9.4) Slabbed, Worth around $360 It's classified as Rare. About 2000 copies got to the UK before it was recalled & scrapped. Nice score if you have it |

I haven't brought any Marvel stuff for ages, Although i did get a variant there awhile ago but that was it. Just lost all interest in everything Lol. Couldn't track the stories no-more (care factor was way to low) & the prices, well... The extra prints, Why! Yep i know they are a company needing cash as we all do. But when i see 3rd print not selling out in a LCS & they announce a 4th print ???
Having way more fun with IDW, Image, Dark-Horse, DC & some independents. |
