What is Wolverine's first appearance?

I don't know why the industry and people in general don't recognize 180 as his first appearance. I mean he makes a full head to toe appearance and he even speaks. A cameo appearance would be him standing in the shadows. Or his fist busting through a wall or you may see a side profile of his mask in the dark. But he made a full appearance. edited by jimmytorres00 on 1/21/2020
#180 IS his "first" appearance but it is a "cameo" appearance, it is one panel and he is not SHOWN interacting with any other character. Even if this "panel" was considered his first appearance, #180 still wouldn't be "IT" This same panel was in many other comic books before this one (as ads) but they are not considered his first appearance neither. Gambit is in many panels in UXM Annual #14 but its still considered a cameo, he's not interacting with anybody. Same argument...… An actor in a movie can be in many different scenes but if he isn't interacting with the other characters, its still considered a "cameo" appearance. That won't change. So I think what's going on here is, most people have a problem with the definition of "cameo". Sometimes a characters first "cameo" appearance is worth more, sometimes its the first "full" appearance, so the value comes from which one is more desirable..……………. Time has shown collectors consider #181 over #180 as his "most wanted" appearance, that won't (and shouldn't) ever change. (even if I have 3 nice #180s and only one #181:silly |

I've bought thousands of books on CPG and your right, most are great. I know of at least a dozen though (including the one you're talking about) that never respond to offers and the offers just expire over and over, very annoying. |

Is it just me or is it not possible to actually type a name into the "Member Search" box. I can manually look through the members names by letter but I can't seem to get my cursor in place in the box to actually type in a name to search. Please help. Thanks |

How do you define a first appearance?

Daredevil #115, Thor #229 and Marvel Premiere #19 all have adds for Hulk #181. Malibu Sun #13 is a "preview" of Spawn, it goes for over $200 in NM, much more than his "first" appearance and Malibu Sun #8 is a "preview" of Evil Ernie and goes for over $350 in NM, again, much more than his "first" appearance. A real fan and collector of a character would be wise to pick up any "early" appearances. edited by rixmaxx on 2/12/2020 |

I think a great feature to add would be the ability to put a comic in multiple boxes (if this is somehow already do able I haven't figured it out). I collect a variety of comics for different reasons and I've run into issues with having boxes based on valuation and also based on storyline or a specific character's appearances. This forces me to choose where to store a specific issue rather than being able to share it to multiple different boxes. It's not a "game breaking" problem by any means, but it would be a nice feature to have available when organizing my comics.
How many boxes can you keep the same book in at home? |

Well, first I have to find them in my collection which is not logically in order. For a while there you could order tons of comics from Midtown and Dynamic Forces. It was Joshua Middleton second Batgirl cover that caused everything to change. I think the big companies realized that they could make some money by keeping it to themselves and limiting the amount going out to their customers. By the way Dynamic forces are crooks. I did get some of my multiple copies of Gwenpool from then, but only because I think they did not work know what they had. I think the way. Dynamic Force works is they would offer comics and then if they got hot they would just not bother to send them to you and make excuses about there's some delay somewhere. And if the comics you ordered did not get hot within a certain amount of time they would send them to you. They made a big screw-up on Gwenpool.
Is that a yes? |
