Dealing with A Seller that accepts offer then.....

Unfortunately, you are only hearing Taskmaster's part of the story - which he's leaving some key points out - so let me help paint the picture for him -
On 7/14 an offer for a comic book was accepted by me from Taskmaster for $500. He overbid another person which was only at around $20. I accepted and sent him the details to respond. I received nothing, so I cancelled the order and he then responds saying I didn't send him anything. So I responded on 8/4 -
Hey Taskmaster, After I accepted your offer, I asked what your email address was, so I could send you an invoice, but never received anything. So I was under the impression you weren't interested any longer. My mistake. It's back up.
I tried to do the right thing. Then he does the same thing with the same comic book a month later - I have a bid on it, and he overbids at $500, and when I accept it, he tells me it's not worth that much, and tells me that I have to send it to him for $25 since that's all it is worth.
Yes, I sell on Ebay, butif I sell something here before I do on Ebay, I take it down. I thought I was always fair and have bought and sold here for a few years now. This is sad that someone can ruin your name because he was unable to threaten someone to give away a comic. He says it's a NO NO to not accept a bid - I agree. But I didn't do that, I accepted his bid at $500 and he didn't pay, but instead tried to negotiate after the bid was accepted. Isn't that a bigger No No??
I am just providing the full story here and will not be responding again, I just wanted to share what happened - since I'm an "ass clown" because I wouldn't be taken advantage of. |
