It would be great if when there's a price change, any sales listings at that price are automatically adjusted. I spend a lot of time editing prices as books go up and down, and I always worry when putting in offers on books that seem undervalued because someone hasn't gotten around to updating them. |

I have a thing for superhero dogs, and I'm working on a big set of first appearances. I've got a Batman #92 (Ace The Bat-Hound) and Fantastic Four #45 (Lockjaw) and all the modern stuff (Cosmo, Lucky, Thori, Dogpool etc.), but I haven't seen any sign of these:

Golden Age Green Lantern #30 (Streak)
Adventure Comics #210 (Krypto)
Okay, to be fair, I have seen one or two Adventure #210s, but only slabbed. Ideally I would find low grade readers. I want to open the books. |

I have a few old Rip Hunter comics that are in pretty okay shape aside from binder holes, if you're interested. Shame, I just sold a complete set of The Cat on eBay awhile back. Would have preferred to keep in in the family so to speak and get it to someone here. |

Thanks, this was helpful. Had no idea there was a way to check on things I've submitted, and figured after a couple of months I must have did something wrong, but at least now I know this is normal. |

Early Marvel Directs Listed as Whitmans

I see that, for example, these Marvel direct editions of Shogun Warriors #1 and #2 are listed as published by Whitman:

Whitman had nothing to do with publishing these books. No mention of Whitman in any of the indicia. Whitman sold/distributed some Marvel direct editions in Whitman polybags, but they're Marvel-published books, first printing direct editions that were also found outside of the Whitman bags.
I know how to report a missing variant, but not sure how to report an incorrectly listed series. Not a huge deal, but it can be annoying trying to sell early Marvel direct editions to collectors who are under the impression that anything with a diamond box is a Whitman reprint.

Isn't the 1:25 Yuko Shimizu virgin, or a Yuko Shimizu cover at all.
But I think what maybe happened here is explained by this article:

Black Cape Comics' exclusice Zu Orzu cover was mistakenly sent by Diamond to pretty much every store except Black Cape, in place of a 1:25 variant.
I'm assuming that it was this Yuko Shimizu virgin that stores were expecting, only to find the Zu Orzu variant instead.
In the meantime, I submitted a missing variant for the real Black Cape Comics "Exclusive" that is now floating out there. I found one at a local store.
Also in the meantime, Image is printing a new version of the Zu Orzu cover (so that Black Cape truly has something exclusive), which will be sent out by Black Cape along with the virgin version which Black Cape told me was not sent out to stores by mistake.
I reached out to a few online sellers to see if any of them actually have in-hand the Yuko Shimizu cover that they have listed for sale. Only one has gotten back to me so far, but they said that they do not; they then pulled the listing. But assuming the Yuko Shimizu virgin does exist somewhere, here's the scan:

For whatever it's worth, all of the retailers I reached out to have now gotten back to me, and all have confirned that none of them actually got the Shimizu cover despite having it listed for sale. Ironically enough, Black Cape did get the Shimizu virgin 1:25. So it's out there... But it'll be interesting to see how many ever surface and where. |

There's been an update / closure on this saga, and I've submitted a new variant. (I'm posting here because I previously submitted this variant and it seems to have been rejected.)
There are now three versions of the Zu Orzu cover for Primordial #2: A) The original trade version with the red logo, limited to 400, which was intended to be a Black Cape exclusive, but was accidentally sent to all retailers, B) a new, updated trade version with a gold logo, limited to 400 and sold only by Black Cape, and C) a virgin version, limited to 300, sold only by Black Cape.
The site has A & C listed, but I just submitted the newer variant that was correctly sold exclusiely by Black Cape. Hopefully it gets added this time.
For whatever it's worth, all copies of B & C were sold by Black Cape (and only by Black Cape) with a numbered COA, while A was just scattered into the wild.

Various Submissions Pending. Need Help?

I often submit missing variants, and then I wait for them to be confirmed, keeping the browser tab open and refreshing every day or two. Well, I have a bunch of tabs that have been open for weeks, some for months. These are all books I have in-hand. I'm patient, but I also realize that I could be spending this time researching and confirming a few books for everyone rather than just hitting refresh on mine. I'd be more than happy to join the research team to help clear the backlog, to help the community. I've got free time and very broad interests. I've been into comics since the 80s and I've got the nerd brain for tracking and researching all kinds of weird anomalies. Who can I talk to about lending a hand?

I do have both the A cover and the virgin variant in hand and can absolutely confirm there are two versions. So I resubmitted the missing virgin edition with a scan.
