Bartman #1 Variant

I found a Bartman #1 in a $1 box at my Local shop. There are 2 Variants list on this site.

Visually, mine looks like the 2nd one with the silver tank bubbling Liquid. Did it has the "Pull out poster" from the 1st, which has a darker Liquid in the pool.
To be more specific with what mine looks like, the liquid is Glossy and Reflective, and much thickers than the rest of the front page. Could the reason the first link has a Black Liquid in picture, because the scanner didn't handle the reflective silver correctly? |

I am new to collecting. So this might be a noobish question.
Is it odd that I was able to buy both the 1:10 RT-1 and the 1:25 RI-2 at the cover price?
The Issue is Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Too Long A Sacrifice. It just came out to day, and I was able to get both covers for 3.99. They are already listed here for upto $18. edited by ZeroThirtySeven on 7/27/2020 |

I'm wondering if the retailer didn't realize it.
That is possible, both covers fail to list them as RI on the front, and the only reason I thought to check before I bought them was that the 1:50 RI-2 has no titles on the front, but the back is all white, with the IDW logo and the RI-2 on the back with the Bar code. |

I personally don't believe any raw grade should be higher than 9.4 but that is just me.
And by raw you mean not graded by some sort of grading athority? |

To correct, I had the Ratio's wrong, they were 1:10 and 1:25. Still a nice find I guess if it is not common for them to be sold at Face value.
The week before I picked up a Variant in a $1 box, so that was pretty good also I guess. Since I was looking for a value, just looking to complete a colection. |

I like the idea of using old boards in a bag to keep things in place. Whatever you use find something rigid to keep your comics from sliding and bending. I will sometimes put a hardback book, plastic dividers or old boards to keep things from moving. Usually I just fill up the box though.
Trying to keep the Boxes on a Theme. I had a box for Comics not categorised, and So I got a new Box, and then split it, so I have 2 half full boxes.
I have been using Graphic Novels for the smaller gaps, and my unused boards. I have just been laying them flat in the box till it fills more. |
