I am new to collecting. So this might be a noobish question.
Is it odd that I was able to buy both the 1:10 RT-1 and the 1:25 RI-2 at the cover price?
The Issue is Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Too Long A Sacrifice. It just came out to day, and I was able to get both covers for 3.99. They are already listed here for upto $18. edited by ZeroThirtySeven on 7/27/2020

I'm wondering if the retailer didn't realize it.

I personally don't believe any raw grade should be higher than 9.4 but that is just me.

That is possible, both covers fail to list them as RI on the front, and the only reason I thought to check before I bought them was that the 1:50 RI-2 has no titles on the front, but the back is all white, with the IDW logo and the RI-2 on the back with the Bar code.

Correct. Even though grading is subjective, when you go with companies like CGC or CBCS, people with more experience than I (I've been collecting comics for over 30 years) are making those decisions.

That was a nice pickup Zerothirtyseven!
About the grading, we have 9.4 as the default setting for the site because most new books fall around that range. It's entirely possible that you have a book higher or lower depending on how it was treated by Diamond and your comic shop. R

To correct, I had the Ratio's wrong, they were 1:10 and 1:25. Still a nice find I guess if it is not common for them to be sold at Face value.
The week before I picked up a Variant in a $1 box, so that was pretty good also I guess. Since I was looking for a value, just looking to complete a colection.
