I see can see it both ways.
Captain America 168 was the first appearance of the character.
Captain America 275/276 was the first time the character adopted this persona / wore the purple (pink?) mask.
It gets a little confusing because Baron Zemo is his name, but it's also the name of a persona (like Captain America) because of the costume.

I don't know. I think in this case, I personally care more about when the character becomes the character I'm familiar with than when he showed up as something else.

It was NEVER said that #168 was his first appearance but as BARON ZEMO is #275/#276

You really need to calm down. Helmut Zemo's 1st appearances is Captain America #168. I started it and you flipped out by insistenting Captain America 285 is Baron Zemo 2's 1st appearance. Yeah, no kidding it is but it doesn't make his actual 1st appearance less meaningful.

The one thing I get is you're upset that CA 285 wasn't getting the respect that you thought it should and I merely pointed out that CA 169 was Helmut Zemo's 1st appearance. But you can't seem to understand the difference between what I work and what you wrote.

No need to "draw a map" since you're already having difficulties with reading comprehension.

A little background:
I made an offer on a book, it took pretty much the entire 7 days allotted for the seller to acknowledge and accept. Once he did accept, I sent an email asking how to pay and what the total was, it took 3 days and me sending a second email to get an answer of "I invoice, send me your PayPal address" which I did immediately. It has now been another 2 or 3 days and I've heard nothing. So, how can I just cancel this and move on? There have to be sellers who are actually interested in money out there.

You're partially right. Some of the big keys, etc... are definitely climbing so fast that CPG (and other price guides) can't even begin to keep up. But I sell a lot of stuff on Ebay that's just "normal stuff" non-key, non GA/SA, regular old issues, and the prices here are pretty close. This does seem to be an anomaly though, unless there's some MCU speculation around Emma being one of the first Mutants we see or something?

This conversation got me curious. The rumors (as of 5-6 months ago) are saying Lady Gaga may play her in the films. If that's the truth I think that covers why the comics are spiking like that.

I don't know why you posted this twice but the comic market has gone up quite a bit in the past year we all have seen this. As for commons going up what commons are your referring to? My LCSs still have dollar bins for commons and there are plenty of sites online that I buy from to fill runs or story lines I am reading with books that aren't keys or expensive. This site has books as well. If your buying on EBay your paying more for pretty much everything. EBay right now is like trying to go to HA and find a deal.

I think Doctor Strange #48 is the first time Strange and Brother Voodoo meet. Brother Voodoo is in the upcoming Dr Strange Movie so it's speculators driving up the cost on that one.

Not sure, but people invest in collectibles when they don't have confidence in the stock market.
