Search Collection by Value?

If you are a paid member you can sort by value. You would go to the collection page. https://comicspriceguide.com/collection/ Click on a publisher like DC https://comicspriceguide.com/collection/dc Then click on top information. That allows you to see the top 25 raw and top 25 graded issues for each publisher. You could change the dropdown to all publishers as well. Ron |

multiple bids on the same book...

I think you are asking if one buyer has made two offers on two separate books. Then another buyer makes a higher offer on one of those issues, do you have to take the higher offer? So while it's a higher offer on one book, it would be better for you to ship both to a single location.
As the seller, you can choose whichever offer you want. Sometimes sellers reject offers because the price of the book has gone up dramatically, or they had bad dealings with a certain buyer. It takes two to make a transaction, so if one party doesn't agree then it doesn't happen. Ron |

Suggesting a Value Change
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
If you are a paying member of the site you can suggest a value change for any of the 1.1 million books in the database. You can find the suggestion area by going to the specific issue and clicking on the values tab. There right below the next issue is the "Suggest value change" button. Please don't use other price guides because some estimate fair market value. We've seen some ridiculous estimates from them. (Actual sale $4000, FMV $10,000 this is a real example submitted to us)
As you can imagine, in this crazy hot comic book market we receive tons of suggestions. If you submit multiple submissions for the same book, you are slowing down the process. A person has to go through and delete the duplicate submissions before we change a book. Someone recently submitted 20 times for the same book. We understand that you want it changed but that doesn't help, it hurts the process. With the number of paying members we have and the number of books they own, we will never be caught up. But as you can see from our recent value change page or your personalized value change page we are working hard on changes. Thanks, Ron |

GIANT SIZE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: KING'S RANSOM #1

I agree that it should be moved under Amazing Spiderman vol. 6 since the story continues and the title fits into our structure for Giant-Size issues. It has been moved over and I added a search term, King's ransom, in case someone forgets. Ron |

To be entered into the system its supposed to be at least 50% comic story. In the 1.1 million books there are exceptions because we use volunteers, some with tremendous knowledge and others with limited knowledge of our system. I would say no because it's a coloring book and not a story. Although now I do want to own a few of them. Ron |

Can one of you with this book look at the indicia and let me know what it says? I'd like it to accurately reflect the title of the book.
In the interim, I've added some search terms to that title to make it easier to find. Thanks, Ron edited by ronbatman on 6/14/2021 |

As Pacino mentioned it should match the publisher if they are correct. For this title there was a mini-series and a one-shot, neither of which count as volumes in our system. So it should be volume 1 to match our normal way of counting volumes. R |

Gains & Drops Don't Add Up

If you are a paying member there are two places where you can see value changes. The recent value change page https://comicspriceguide.com/value-changes/
This page only shows the books that had a change in the raw 9.4 So yesterday we adjusted some lower grades up but kept the 9.4 at the same price. That change won't appear on the recent value change page.
The second page that shows more specific information is the My gains and drops page https://comicspriceguide.com/gains-drops/
This page shows the gains and drops for your specific book in the grade you have cataloged. If you have a 5.0 that went up you can see it there. It's much more specific to your collection. I hope that helps, Ron |

Gains & Drops Don't Add Up

I think that I can give you a specific example to show how you might see an increase in overall value but a drop.
We use different tools to help us speed up the process. One of them is an automated system that gives a set of %'s for each value based on decades of research. Those are just the starting point and then someone like me goes in and refines it for a specific book. For example you have an X-men that went up from 100 to 150, then in the refining process someone changed the value to 147. In that case your collection would have gone up +$47 but the book would have shown a loss of $3. The gains and losses track from the last change. So what you're seeing is someone specifically and carefully changing the specific grade of a book you own. This is actually a good thing.

Help needed choosing perfect issue for signing
RonbatmanAdministrator

"I would like to take my entire collection of comics down to Sarasota Florida to CGC to have help determining which ones are worth getting graded and im determining which ones would benefit from being pressed and/or restored before grading."
That's not something they would do. Grading comics is a big business and they don't make time for things like this which would take a lot of time.
When starting off, just pick a couple of books that you think are high grade or value. Send them off to get cleaned and pressed then to CGC. We can press and clean any book for $10 and in less than 2 weeks. Check CGC and you'll see that their lead time for pressing is months. https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic15739-comic-book-pressing-and-cleaning.aspx Ron |

There are 4 ways to add books to your collection
1. The In-depth Way Go to the title - like Guardians of the Galaxy https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/guardians-of-the-galaxy/pkqthu Then click into a specific issue, like #1 https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/guardians-of-the-galaxy/1/pktscqu At the top there are four tabs click the "My collection" tab. You can add the book and fill in all sorts of details. After that don't forget to click the green button at the bottom
2. The Fast Way Go to the title - like Guardians of the Galaxy https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/guardians-of-the-galaxy/pkqthu Click the green button to the right of every issue you have. You will see green text appear on the left that says "You own 1 issue"
3. Super Fast Way Go to the title - like Guardians of the Galaxy https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/guardians-of-the-galaxy/pkqthu On the lower right side you will see a button that says "add run". So if you own 1 through 50 you can add them all in a few seconds.
4. Bar Code Scanner If the book has a UPC code and the code is in our system you can scan it with our app.
