3/9/2021 Topic: Proctor Valley Road glorkar	So issue 1 of Proctor Valley Road comes out tomorrow. Are you going to pick up a copy? Horror is so hot right now it's crazy! Will this be another Something Is Killing The Children? Guess we'll have to wait and see
3/10/2021 Topic: Proctor Valley Road glorkar	I don't know. The first issue did not impress. There was a bit of backstory, but not much action. Last couple of pages. It's a period story, late 60's. Tons of cursing and racial slurs and such. It almost feels like it's trying too hard. I can't see the book taking off. I'll definitely not be following it.
3/10/2021 Topic: Children Of The Atom glorkar	Another book with super powered kids. I'm almost over it at this point. At least it isn't a school in this one. Just a bunch of mutant kids who haven't gone to Krakoa yet. All of them have names that are similar to the adult with the same powers. Daycrawler vs Nightcrawler. Gimmick vs Gambit. Even the outfits are similar. The reveal at the end is interesting, but not enough for me to pick up book 2.

3/20/2021 Topic: Falcon and the Winter Soldier glorkar	Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I'll probably watch it this weekend though. I'll let you know what I think when I do.
3/21/2021 Topic: Falcon and the Winter Soldier glorkar	It did feel more like a continuation of the movies. There were a lot of references to End Game. I loved how badass Bucky was in the flashback. That was more my style than Sam's opening drama. It was still cool, I just liked Bucky's better. The whole shield thing was expected. From the moment of the first press conference you knew his choice was going to be manipulated / used against him.
3/21/2021 Topic: Mutants in the MCU glorkar	It's been confirmed that Mutants are now going to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You can be certain that the ones that have been a large part of the Fox universe are probably not going to make it in for a long time (Cyclops, Wolverine, Phoenix, Prof. X, Magneto, etc) So which Mutants do you hope to see? My gut tells me that Rogue is going to be a major player. She wasn't overdone in the Fox world. And she is a key part of Captain Marvel's origin story. There's scuttlebutt that she is going to be one of the baddies in the next Captain Marvel film.
3/24/2021 Topic: DONT KNOW WHAT I GOT glorkar	There really isn't any easy way to find the value on them if. You'll have to sort them out by title and issue number, then look them up here. There might be some hidden gems, but most of them are probably only worth $2-$5 a piece (if you can find someone who wants them). If you sell them as a bulk lot, you'll be lucky to get $0.50-$1 a piece, but it will be easier and quicker to off load them that way. If you have the time and put in the effort, after going through them you can always sell the higher value ones on their own, then the rest as one lot, or a bunch of smaller lots (25, 50, 100). To sell them, your best bet would probably be Facebook Marketplace or eBay. eBay is tricky because you need to be sure to charge shipping, or price the book high enough that you still make money. Of course, if you live close enough to someone on here, I'm sure they'd be willing to take them off your hands
3/27/2021 Topic: Teen Titans Academy #1 glorkar	Agreed. I ordered both covers, but was only able to pick one of them up from my LCS. Guessing they had a damaged shipment or under ordered. I enjoyed the story. Picks up after the Future State Teen Titans. I'm looking forward to when they face their first baddie.

4/3/2021 Topic: Captain America #275 & 276 glorkar	I see can see it both ways. Captain America 168 was the first appearance of the character. Captain America 275/276 was the first time the character adopted this persona / wore the purple (pink?) mask. It gets a little confusing because Baron Zemo is his name, but it's also the name of a persona (like Captain America) because of the costume. I don't know. I think in this case, I personally care more about when the character becomes the character I'm familiar with than when he showed up as something else.
4/5/2021 Topic: Captain America #275 & 276 glorkar	@5fiddy - Think of it this way then, while 168 was the first appearance of the character, 275/276 are key issues because that is when he became the superhero / supervillain that we are currently familiar with. It's almost like he was reborn. That makes those pretty major keys in my opinion.

4/9/2021 Topic: Key Issues List glorkar	Key books are always changing though. Not all keys are first appearances. Some are major story arcs. They may be hot for a while, but after the hype, they kind of get forgotten.
4/14/2021 Topic: Comic Age Question glorkar	I'm pretty sure there isn't an exact recognized break for the more recent comic ages (bronze, copper, modern), but I'm a little confused on a few in our system. I just picked up Uncanny X-Men 221 and Uncanny X-Men Annual 14. . Uncanny X-Men Annual 14 seems correct, sitting in the Copper Age (January 1990) https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/uncanny-x-men/14_annual/rltul . But, Uncanny X-Men 221 seems wrong, sitting in the Modern Age (September 1987) https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/uncanny-x-men/221/pkwpitv . From what I can tell, a large chunk of the series (https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/uncanny-x-men/rlux) shows Modern Age: 217 (May 1987) -254 (Dec 1989), 256 (Dec 1989) - 261 (May 1990) If 1991 is the start of the Modern Age, then 272 (Jan 1991) - 283 (Dec 1991) are incorrect (they all show Copper Age), However, if we consider 1992 to be the start of the Modern Age, then that last section are correct. . 4/20/2021 Topic: LCS Changing for the worst glorkar	My LCS sells on eBay too, but they still have the books displayed in store. If someone local buys it, they pull the listing from eBay. It's cheaper and easier to sell local (no packaging and shipping to worry about) but if there's no interest, it makes sense to list them online for a broader market. Not having anything priced is just crazy though. Especially if they are displayed. They already obviously know they are keys and are worth more than the average book. It would make more sense to me to put a price on them, then adjust every week or something if they are that concerned about making a few bucks more.
