Bad Things/Taking Everyone Down

Heya. I have a dual sided issue of "We're Taking Everyone Down With Us" on one side "You'll Do Bad Things" on the reverse. This is smaller in size than standard, 5.5'' X 8.5". Possibly an ashcan?? If in the database I have not found it. Let me know if I didn't see it, should add to missing comics, or if not addable. |

I have a copy of "We're Taking Everyone Down With Us" #1 retailer preview. Indicia states issue #1 preview. Would we consider this a variant or something different altogether. Similar to a reprint its just a "preprint." It is a full comic and regular size. Heres a pic.

Good day - I put in 2 different variants for "Transformers" #17. There may have been confusion.
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/transformers/17/pivqips
One was accepted and now #17 D, but was replied back that I put in a duplicate entry. The second entry was not a duplicate though it looked the same. The second entry was for the foil version while the accepted version was for the card stock. In the description and variant info I did mention the second was the foil version and used different pictures that I took from comic geeks. Both pics did look exact though. Anyway not sure if youd still have the info but in short "Transformers" #17 D has a look-a-like foil cover.

Is this not the same comic?? |

I had a forum post titled "Slightly Incorrect" that I mentioned "Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider" was titled incorrectly in the data base.
It was replied to as "updated" and placed in the completed forum section, but the database still reads incorrectly.

Just wanted to point that out in case it was missed. |

Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider is missing the "The" and a "hyphen."

Not The Virgin
Michael
|
Good day-
I noticed that the pic for cover ILLUM-E for "Edge Of The Spider-Verse" #1 May 2023 is incorrect, it is not the virgin cover.
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/edge-of-spider-verse/1-ILLUM-E/piryjqw
The cover shown is an unlisted variant. There might also be a bit more of a mix up between the two as the back of my issue (true virgin cover) lists; Unknown Comic Bks, The 616, Comic traders, and Antihero Gallery. Frankies and Street Level are not mentioned on my variant but they are listed in the above link. The League o geeks also does not list Frankies and Street Level. So, though the listing states "virgin" is it for the non-virgin Peach Momoko cover? Are the prices similar? Lmk if I should create missing variant.
Here is a correct pic and the back of the comic showing associated shops.

Hybrid - Reader mostly, Ive read every comic I own and many are re-read. Collector as I like to have consecutive issues or full runs and will buy multi covers of same books. I also like to display comics at home. Seller, or more like a wanna be seller. I buy to later sell and want to sell at least half a 1,500 comic collection, but hard to let go of some. Dang I still miss my "Punisher" comics I sold. I bought the 1st issue of all "Punisher" specials, summer, back to school, holiday, ect, off the shelf and would look forward to the next season's special. Hopefully now in good hands. |

This entry for "DarkHawk" #32 has a pic of "DarkHawk" #33.

Not sure how you want label it as the pic for the direct edition in the guide has a UK price on it and the other version I have seen does not have UK price nor have "direct edition" in UPC box (see pic). Price differences??

I wasnt sure if there were separate UK variants or if it was just easier to add UK price with US direct variant. Heres a close up.

Five favorite books in your collection?
Michael
|
1. "Dolls In The Attic" by Gris Grimly. Great art, great story teller, and rare comic.
2. "Amazing Spider-Man" #302. Good story, great art, and the first and only (that I know of) appearance of "Bunny-Man"
https://www.comicspriceguide.com/titles/the-amazing-spider-man/302/xbyrh
3. "Spawn" #1 and "DarkHawk" #1. Tied since both these have a special place in my collection as I have owned both from the shelf since they came out and comics like these kept me not just collecting but reading and enjoying comics.
4. "Captain America" #309. MadCap origin story, had it as a kid. One of my 1st Marvel comics.
https://www.comicspriceguide.com/titles/captain-america/309B/pkwtlst
5. "Vampirella Strikes" #1 and "Vampirella Pin-Up Special" #1. Another tie as they have the same story; A young me went to a comic shop signing where they had a woman dressed as Vampirella. I bought both these and had them signed. She even gave a kiss mark on the COAs.
https://www.comicspriceguide.com/titles/vampirella-strikes/1/poxwkr
https://www.comicspriceguide.com/titles/vampirella-pin-up-special/1/pmxscw
Honorable mentions as I like the stories but wouldnt go as far to say "proud" to own them but def favorites.
"Batman: Brotherhood Of The Bat;" I just like the story. "Adventures Of Superman Annual" #6 continued into "Superboy Annual" #1; Cant miss 2 part Elseworlds story. Finally "Avengers" 334-338; The Brethren story. Great art and classic writing with a good beginning and ending without being too long or dragged out. |

Ive known Gris personally for years. Sometime in the 90's he did a few low print comics (not made by a major publisher) and I was hoping he would stick with it as I loved the art and his writing. I posted the cover of one here in the forum on 12Apr2025 labeled Treat. He went the way of original art and kids' books to the loss of the comic community. I have his permission to list his comics in the guide but since they are low print, less than 100, and he wasnt sure of some of the specifics not sure if will get done or even accepted being a privately made low print.
I read "ASM" #302 as a kid and for some reason the line "What am I supposed to do? Strap on a puffy tail and call myself Bunny-Man?" stuck with me and I always hoped "Bunny-Man" would re-appear. Honestly think he deserves a recurring role.
I was about 10 yrs old when I read the "Cpt America" with MadCap. I was a fan of origin stories and liked how MadCap wasnt a super hero or villain.
The Brethern story in "Avengers" was good because it was complete, I think maybe I need to re-read it. Only been a few decades, youd think I would remember. I did wonder if this group would re-appear as I thought their origin was original and made me think spoiler................as they were evolved from bacteria. Would be a great re-read with the great art and a wide spread of characters. |

Battle Beast Issues
Michael
|
Good Day-
I found a couple possible problems with the "Invincible Universe: Battle Beast" entry.
First, is it correct that there are two listings?
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/invincible-universe-battle-beast/pisqcx
and
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/invincible-universe-battle-beast/pisqcy
Even though the Mask variant is a different price and does not have the "Blood & Thunder" preview on the back pages (at least per my issues) is it not just a variant as indicia states both as "Battle Beast" #1 April 2025? The first listing also has a sketch variant listed, but I assume it is another variant of same.
Next, the colon is missing in title between "Universe" and "Battle." This is per indicia.
The date in the entry is incorrect. Per indicia issue #1 is April not May.
Finally, I am not sure "Blind Bag" is a variant as it can contain a variety of covers and not even necessarily a ""Battle Beast" comic. My Blind Bag came with an exclusive "Invincible" #19 variant. See attached and I have already added this to missing variants for "Invincible" #19.
Thanks

Did cover C for "Red Sonja Attacks Mars" only come as a polybag w/ card?
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/red-sonja-attacks-mars/2C/pivyltx
Asking because the guide usually states if issue came bagged with card as mine did. Guide doesnt say it so not sure if there were bagged and unbagged or if guide just didnt add this info.

Planet Death

I disagree with "Planet Death" #0 being listed as a FCBD 2025 title. Nowhere on the comic states FCBD or in the indicia. The comic also has a cover value of $1.99. even if given out on FCBD I dont believe it falls in line with the others that normally state FCBD on the cover. This may also cause confusion for those looking this up in the future.
I also believe this would be titled incorrectly in the guide per above reasons even if considered a free comic.

I had to share my excitement somewhere so to the one or two people who read this...I bought a couple batches of bulk comics that had "DarkHawk" to finish my collection as exact condition wasnt important, In one batch I found a "DarkHawk" #25 signed by Mike Manley. The signature is small and I might not have noticed but a certificate of authenticity fell out as I was checking the pages to see which of the multiple #25s I had was going into my permanent collection. So "heck ya, autographed comic from nowhere!!" Thanks for reading.
