I can't find any reason why it would be worth that much. New character? Incredibly low print run?

If it was, the issues 1, 1A, 2, 3A, 4A, 8, 9, 14, 18, 20, and 24 would all also be >$200. And #20 ESPECIALLY, moreso than #27.

the true value of a comic is only what someone else is willing to pay for it.

This is a mantra here in these forums.

CPG has stated that they use an algorithm, which is understandably a company secret, involving a number of different sources in various KINDS of sources (shops, online, etc). I can see that with over 1,000,000 comics in their database - it's hard to keep up with ALL of them, and they do more than just keep up on current values.
Others have brought this up here in the forums. A number of inaccuracies have been posted (I've mentioned 2 this year). So the Admins know about people's displeasure about it. They've told us that an upcoming version of the site software will let us members officially suggest new values.
That's all I have on this. Only the Admins know more.

Here's the topic where it was last discussed with one of the Admins: http://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic6038-out-of-date-prices-on-the-guide.aspx
We've heard nothing since then.

I just don't have any answers.

I have comics, like some Bloodshot ones from Valiant, that have gone up recently... but they don't show under the "Top Gains".

1.Planet Hulk Vol 3- issue 92-105 - because new Thor movie
2. Marvel Team up issue # 9/ spiderman/iron man - because the spider man homecoming
3. X force issue #8 First Real App of Domino - because of the New Deadpool movie
4. Damage Control 19889- Issue 1- Homecoming movie as well
5.New Mutants 25 & 26- LEGION TV SHOW 1st app Legion.
6. World War Hulk which follows after planet Hulk.

Feel Free to Add more now mind you i know a lot of you know this but there are Tons that dont and putting the word out deff increase value. Feel Free to Add more to this List! But Wish they website update that Tab more often.

Your overall point is valid. The value of some comics in general don't get updated as they should be. And the "Watch List" is a little stale too.
But some of these you listed don't have any reason to be watched or to increase in value. Ex: Marvel Team-Up #9, Damage Control #1, and WW Hulk.

True to a point. When there's a certain comic in a certain grade that you can't touch on E-Bay for $80, and Overstreet lists it as around $80, and online and local stores are selling it for about $80... and CPG lists it as $30 - something's wrong there.

Note: I've seen CPG be right on target, and Overstreet be way low. I've also seen one of the big online stores be way higher than everyone else.
But overall, yes - CPG has some they really need to update! (And I'm not talking about obscure ones or little $3 is now $4 ones.)

I have one that's a "BAD AND UGLY". No good about it.
This is the ONLY comics I have ever read that got rid of. I gave it back to the comic shop. I told them to put it in the back. This post is actually a warning to people to not buy this comic.

FULL SPOILERS AHEAD !!!!! I'm giving away the whole story here! If you're fine being utterly disgusted by something, continue reading.

Bizarre Hands #1 from Avatar Press.

Here's the story: A man, Preacher Judd, travels around doing "The Lord's work" trying to "Save" mentally challenged young girls.
And every Halloween he finds one and takes her trick or treating... just like he did with his own mentally challenged sister when he was a teenager.
However, once he takes these girls out alone, he rapes them while strangling them to death with his "bizarre hands"… just like
he did with his own mentally challenged sister when he was a teenager!
It's graphic, showing him raping his sister with nudity and violence.

*******

SPOILER DONE.

Seriously... now you see why I got rid of this book. I don't want it in my house. It wasn't that it dealt with a horrifying subject in a decent way - it was just for cheap shock. I'm not disgusted by many things, having watched a ton of horror movies and reading everything Stephen King has written - but this was something I wish I had never read. I want to blot it out from my memory.

Well x force # 8 deff watcher because tech it's the 1st all of dominion who will be in Deadpool 2.

Ehhh... That's one of those "stupid retcon things". We first saw a character named Domino, that looks like Domino has always looked, in New Mutants #98. X-Force #8 is a "flashback cameo", X-Force #10 is her "first real kind-of appearance", and X-Force #11 is her "first FULL appearance".
But technically, New Mutants #98 is the first time we ever saw the character Domino. Yes, it was technically retconned to be Copycat, but I mean, if the next Deadpool comic had another Deadpool come out and say "I'M the REAL Deadpool! This one you've been reading for 26 years is an imposter!" - then I guess THAT would now be the first appearance of Deadpool, and not NM 98???

So I BELIEVE #8 won't really be going up much. 11 might get up to $25 or so from hype, and then drop later.

I don't remember if their ages are explicitly stated, but when it flashed back to him living at home and having to take his sister trick-or-treating, I guess it's assumed at least HE is a teen living at home. The sister and the girls are not drawn as "young" children, like 10 y/o... more like older teens. So maybe that's how they got around legal issues.
Still a disgusting book. Not "horror" to me.

Hi, I have an "Amazing Spider-Man" #113 that I would say is in FINE condition (a few snaps in the spine, spine is a tiny bit worn), but some idiot punched a hole in the cover page at the top in the "G" in "MARVEL COMICS GROUP" with a hole punch.

Also, I have a #105 that's in better shape, but some idiot wrote on the back cover at the top, in cursive, "bought in 1971".

How much do these things lower the value?

The hole punch in the cover is treated like a "piece out" or a "cut out" that's roughly the same size... ~3-5mm. That's in the F/VF (7.0) range. Maybe a 7.5 (VF-).
The same goes for the writing on back. It's in pen, and scribbled all over the back cover. *Just* the date, like "2/3/71" would be better than "Bought in", but it's on the back so I'd say a 7.5 or an 8.0 (VF- or VF).
That's what grade THOSE DEFECTS are in. If the comic's overall appearance is MUCH better than 7.5/8.0, then bump it up a little.
If it has other defects that make it worse... then those will hurt it.

+1 on avoiding the publisher.

I've read some of their Night Of The Living Dead, and an UBER. They weren't like that one was.

I used to have a mail subscription for all my titles. I got tired of them delivering Iron Man #6 before they delivered Iron Man #5. I got tired of not getting an issue at all.
I'm much happier getting them from a Local Comic Book Store, and happy to support a small business. I also enjoy hanging out there and talking with other customers and the store owners every week.

... "Graded" means they were sent to a company (ex: CGC or CBCS or PGX)
and were professionally graded by their employees, and the comic was encased in a hard plastic slab. Google images of "cgc comics" for what that looks like. Since your are in bags, they're not.

Start with providing us a list of the comics title and issue number (ex: Fantastic Four #200) here, and we can go from there with telling you if it's POSSIBLE they're worth anything. It's possible your 100 comics could be worth thousands of dollars... or $20.

If so, that's better than in open attic humidity.
As you're "bagging and boarding" them, give them a sniff. If one smells moldy... keep it away from the rest of them.

Let us know what some of the titles and issue numbers are! It's always fun to share the excitement of someone's happy discovery.

That one was a One-Shot, and not in a series. They've done a couple of "What If" ones as One-Shots.

Well, I can see if it was a really low print run, but the explanation of "It has cleavage!" don't work since many of the other issues in that title have the same or even more. It'd be like saying ASM #596 is worth hundreds of dollars because it has webbing.
