There is no mystery on what types of comics will ultimately hold value or increase. First appearances of new characters always have potential. Some people focus on them and target them for their collection. For every comic that becomes hot, there are five more that have the same potential. Some people are sitting on current duds that will eventually increase in demand.

Then explain how Punchline was so popular and sold out even BEFORE the issues she was in ever hit retail shelves.

Only certain people knew she was coming and had no idea about her appearances until the last minute.

I don't know how you missed Punchline. I don't follow any spec sites and knew she was coming a month before hand. But there are 2 kinds of comic buyers the ones that go pick up their books and leave, and then ones like me that practically spend the whole Wednesday talking comics with the owners and customers.

I used to have that Malibu Sun and used it to trace and work on drawing spawn and other characters. Eventually i just threw it away and years later i see that mint copies were going for several hundred dollars. The Previews are so big that the idea of keeping them does not interest me at all - however, maybe i will need to rethink that.

Not the fat regular Previews catalog, but the comic sized Marvel & DC inserts. But FYI over the decades that Previews has been around only those 2 books carry any value. idk why X-23 does there are so many other interesting characters, but the Ult FF one has slightly different artwork than the actual cover.

Well, this is not a Marvel comic but I feel it is best fitting underneath the title for this forum. Our Fighting Forces # 1 giant size is out at Walmart this week. On eBay it is going for $25 already. Apparently some people feel that due to some of the confusion going on with DC Comics and distribution problems that it may not make it to the comic book stores and may only be appearing at Walmart. The good thing about buying this comic is if you save your receipt you can always take it back within 3 months if you feel you want to.

Actually no, Walmart is not taking returns through the stores because of the pandemic.

FCBD or Why We Need To STRICTLY Abide By Indicias

Some free comics are listed under a tab under a regular title, some are listed similar to the indicia and some are exactly as printed and it causes a hell of a lot of confusion. Right now I'm trying to find the listing for Free Comic Book Day 2015 (Avengers) Spanish Edition #1. Following the indicia exactly would remove any and all confusion in the future.
