The Uncanny X-Men 3-D #1

I'll say this until my final breath. If we would just list the items exactly as written on the indicia there would be NO confusion. This isn't Uncanny X-Men #268, the indicia says it's Uncanny X-Men 3D #1. We shouldn't have to search a book to search a book. |

The Secret Wars mini-series Where Monsters Dwell is listed twice. One listing has it as a mini series and the other has it listed as Volume 2

DC Year Of The Villain Variant Covers

The DC Year Of The Villain Variant Cover prices in your guide are listed way over market value. The 1:500 variant is barely reaching $50 for sold listings on eBay (and they have been since they were first solicited months before the release date) as opposed to the $120 it shows in the guide. There is a reason they are so low. At 25 cent cover price, if the current guide prices shown were accurate every speculator in the world would've ordered 500 copies at $125 total and flipped the variants for $300. |

Superman/Batman Annual #4

|
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/supermanbatman/4_annual/vkuvks The book seems to be selling in the low $30's for ungraded copies on eBay. The N/M price listed above is $8. People are claiming it is the first appearance of Batman Beyond, but I don't see that designation on this site or on any CGC graded copies. Might need to keep an eye on that. I believe the book had gone higher and came down a bit. |

I am surprised everyone slept on Vision. I think it's probably one of the greatest Marvel series in the last 5 years. It really needs a sequel from Ton King. Maybe some Sienkiewicz artwork. |

I am curious what the most owned issue is among members on this site. If I had to guess it would probably be something like X-Men #1 (1991) or maybe Spawn #1. It would be a cool feature, if possible, to see those numbers. Or maybe it already exists and I just haven't run across it yet. |

I've seen a few issues designated as "way under ordered". Can we go back to the old way of describing them, maybe "Scarce" or "Low print run"? I feel like we're just dumbing it down for the non comic fan speculators/investors. |

Walmart Marvel Variant and Not So Variant Covers

I know we've talked about Marvel Walmart books before and it seems like SOME of the books get attention, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, but with only 3,568 stores and these stores only getting 2-3 copies of said variants, and especially with all the speculators out there, Why do you suppose the prices haven't skyrocketed as a variant with an extremely low print run?
Edited to Add Marvel to the title and original post because I believe there was some confusion. edited by drewzer15 on 7/9/2019 |

I guess, but they aren't listed as such. None of them say "second printing". I can see a low demand for a comic that just has a different colored logo, but the ones with new artwork should be skyrocketing. Artgerm and Nauck and Lim variants? idk. |

They're not listed/marked as second prints because they're not 2nd prints of a previous COMIC, just stories, and multiple stories from different comics to boot, same as every other reprint title like Marvel Tales--those are not noted as 2nd prints either, nor should they be. I haven't seen the inside of one of these new giants, but I assume they note 'reprint' of the stories on the inside. The cover art is new on most I guess, and you'd think any with new stories would be higher than they are from what I saw on that auction site, but there's hundreds for sale too, and not very impressive sale prices for the majority. The way the market and info moves so fast these days, you'd think the prices for the 'hot' artist issues would already be higher than they are, but maybe there's a lot of people still unaware of these issues. Or people just don't want to pay even more for a $5 reprint comic.
You're thinking of the DC books. I guess I didn't correctly convey that I'm specifically talking about the Marvel books. They are exactly like the ones you get at your LCS but with different covers. If the Fried Pie, and Midtown (and all these others comic stores that have to order "X" amount of books to get exclusive variants) books are so hot why aren't the Walmart ones that have a print run of under 10,000? |

For the record the Marvel Walmart books are usually 2-3 copies per store. The DC books that seem to pull $10-$15 or more on eBay are sometimes up to 12 copies per store. |

The Black Cat issue has been out for a couple of weeks so it might be harder to find, but I noticed that some Walmart stores sell better than others and some titles do as well. It's pretty much a crap shoot. |

A while ago I talked to who I think was responsible for putting the Walmart Comics out and they did not seem very interested or adhering to a schedule. To them it was just something to put out whenever they had the time or thought about it.
It's an outside vendor that stocks them so there's really no accountability if someone decides to not do their route. |

And so does Guardians of the Galaxy annual # 1.
It has a different color logo. It has been mentioned elsewhere that ALMOST all of the Walmart 3 packs have some sort of variant cover on the top issue. They either have a logo color change like GOG Ann #1, completely new art like Black Cat and Fantastic Four #10 or some sort of altered original cover like Secret Empire #0 (It moved the logo to the bottom and put Captain America's name on top). There are only 3600-ish Walmart stores and most average 2-3 copies each, so they are all limited in some fashion. People have scoffed at me saying "NOBODY WANTS A LOGO CHANGE VARIANT!", but everyone seems to be losing their minds trying to find that little Carnage web on the logos of some of the recent books and those are 50/50 variants so they're not even rare. |
