Storing graded comics

there's a 2006 post from the ex-head of CGC about this on their forums. SOME safes are not safe to store slabs in as they can cause rusty staples.
The gist: "....because of the chemical compound used to make his safe fireproof or fire resistant... We have strong reason to believe that ANY fireproof or fire resistant safe might create a harmful storage environment for your comics. Yesterday, we also learned that fireproof/fire resistant safes are prone to develop moisture. Many fire resistant safes contain insulation, which in turn, contains water crystals; thus the high content of moisture."

https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/61106-important-information-about-storing-comic-books-in-fire-proofresistant-safes/
and another thread: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/444413-cgc-slabs-storing-in-a-safe/

I didn't search it, but pretty sure there's a few discussions there about storing them horizontally vs vertically, and flat vs standing, so you can find those yourself. I store mine standing up, like normal comics, so I take less of a chance of having a spine 'bow' a little over time if it's on the 'down' side (even tho the inner bag should stop most of that, they're not real tight so as not to cause the comics to get waves/warps), or having gravity shift them to one side or the other and POSSIBLY mushing the page edge against the side of the inner well/bag, especially if that edge has overrun of the cover.
so now you have more readin' material to pass the pandemic time..

really don't understand why you couldn't find it, but the series is here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/mighty-thor/vhqrb
the issue you attached is here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/mighty-thor/10/pjyvcqp

always try using fewer keywords and leave out little words like 'the'. many titles with The in them do not come up when you use The, but do when you leave it off. reading this forum to see other answers is one way to find the 'tricks'. I've posted my link to my search tips on this forum to another forum here a ton of times. It's faster if you submit it yourself. save a GOOD cropped-to-the-edges pic with no watermark to your computer/phone first. then go to the page that issue should be on, click on the Variants tab, click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button in lower right after the other covers, and fill in the info boxes as best you can, and upload the pic from your computer/phone, and they'll get to it when they get to it.

not sure why they would stick under normal circumstances with normal backing boards, but you could try taking one that's not worth much and sticking it in the freezer for say 10 minutes to start with and see if that gets it to let go of the board. may take longer too. but that's a trick for getting tape and other sticky stuff to let go, so it may work with a comic. leave it in the bag too. if it doesn't work, you have a damaged comic anyway, so nothing to lose. not worth having peeled back covers and paying for resto unless they're really worth some $, and you'll take the hit for resto too. sorry this happened. you can also ask the many comic restoration companies (well, only a couple good ones from what I've read) or Matt Nelson (who works with CGC) what they can suggest, which is probably a better idea to start with.

A few WHAT are missing? Variants? I see this title has lots of them. If that's what you mean, you can submit them yourself, and it speeds things up. Save GOOD cropped-to-the-edges pics with no watermarks to your computer/phone first. then go to the page that each single issue should be on, click on the Variants tab, click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button in lower right after the other covers, and fill in the info boxes as best you can, and upload the pic from your computer/phone, and they'll get to it when they get to it.

I think you meant Spectacular Spider-Man #99, as it has the wrong pic for the newsstand, it's using #88. Sensational stopped at #33.

attached a pic of #99 newsstand courtesy of comics.org. Another tree-fiddy in the kitty. hoping the kitty coughs it all up someday, I could use the money smile

Missing Title

certainly doesn't seem to be listed somehow, but plenty of other Blueberry comics/graphic novels listed. comics.org has it as 'Epic Graphic Novel- Marshal Blueberry 1', but no listings here for Epic Graphic Novel like many of the Marvel and DC novels are under. No luck with just using Blueberry, or Epic, or Marshal or misspellings of Marshal.
attached a pic from comics.org in case yours doesn't work for CPG.

supposedly quicker to submit it as a missing issue, as it gets in the queue faster. if you don't know, save a GOOD cropped-to-the-edges pic with no watermark to your computer/phone first. then go to the page that issue should be on, click on the Variants tab, click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button in lower right after the other covers, and fill in the info boxes as best you can, and upload the pic from your computer/phone, and they'll get to it when they get to it.

after doing searches for a pic (always better to post/attach/URL a pic), it seems CPG is missing both the hardcover and softcover. so attached pics of both. comics.org's pic says theirs is the softcover, but they appear to be wrong according to auction site and other sites, so I'm pretty sure these are the correct pics.

title is wrong. Tut Tut is the name of the STORY, not the series title. A google search would show you the correct title is Adventures of Mighty Mouse, #167, it's here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/adventures-of-mighty-mouse/167/powtop

What rimaxx said. and as the Guidelines post says, look inside the comics at the indicia info usually at the bottom of the 1st page, or in the back sometimes, to see what the correct title is. Superman in Action Comics is just Action Comics, for example.

I found all kinds of King's Gunslingers using just Gunslinger, and plenty of stuff under Dark Tower. The Stand has a number of comics, not sure how many are of King's story.

on the 'trade dress' version, I've seen 3 versions now. Most common on ebay at least (on closed auctions, and someone is selling 10 packs) seems to be with the marvel box and printed sig on the right side. then there's the marvel box and printed sig on the left, then marvel box on the right but printed sig on the left. what's the point of that?
someone can ask Greg Horn maybe.

It's CLEAR that the virgin and trade dress in the 1st post are different, but it's the 3 non-virgin covers that I'm talking about, that I see no art differences in them other than the placement of Horn's printed signature, and the other diff is the placement of the Marvel box. seems pointless to me to call 1 an 'exclusive' based on just placement of those things.

Comics shipping envelope question

in case you don't know, it's against the P.O. rules to send comics media mail. they can open it anywhere along the line to check, and then they will bill the recipient for at least 1st class or priority rate, which will make the customer mad, and you'll get a warning letter from them about not doing it again, or they may charge you for the extra postage after the fact, or not take your packages any more, so it's a gamble. I've had comics come in some 'stiff' envelopes, and they almost always have bends in them from shipping. better to add at least 1 piece of regular cardboard inside if there's room, or just use a cardboard sandwich and pay 1st class rate.

I submitted a better pic just now. comics.org and mycomicshop both say this is a 1st print, and the 'direct' version with the Spidey Head box is a 2nd print, so CPG can decide whether to update the Spidey Head one.

for future reference, it's faster if you submit it yourself. save a GOOD cropped-to-the-edges pic with no watermark to your computer/phone first. then go to the page that issue should be on, click on the Variants tab, click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button in lower right after the other covers, and fill in the info boxes as best you can, and upload the pic from your computer/phone, and they'll get to it when they get to it.
