I'm sure you can guess my answer but I never buy an Overstreet Price Guide. Shocking right? Someone who works for Comics Price Guide never buys an Overstreet. I get why people do it but for me, it's outdated by the time it's printed. |

New Sorting Feature

I'm going to over-explain this for the newbies in the house so if you're a wily vet skip down a bit.
On the collection page you can see the total value of your collection and the value of each publisher in your collection. https://comicspriceguide.com/collection/
Previously, when you clicked on a publisher like Marvel you could see all the titles under that publisher https://comicspriceguide.com/collection/marvel
AND you could click on "Top information" and figure out the top 10 titles, top 10 individual books, top 10 graded titles and top 10 graded books for that publisher. Which is a nice feature.
We had a few customers ask for sorting for all publishers so today we added a new field to the dropdown menu. Sort all publishers.
https://comicspriceguide.com/collection/all-publishers
We are currently working on adding more than 10 books or titles to those lists so expect even more soon.

I just posted a new feature in our announcement area on the forum that is somewhat related.
If you click on the arrow on the left side the box will open and you can print that box. Not sure if that helps. https://comicspriceguide.com/organize/ |

How does a double cover effect value?
RonbatmanAdministrator
|
If you check eBay you'll see that there are hundreds of double cover books for sale. Some people are asking insane prices and some are asking for book value. The range is multiples of CPG value down to regular raw value. As a side note, the grading companies will grade the covers separately and then add notes about each cover.
Things that drive the price Desirability - Key Issue - Age, the older the better - Condition of both covers -
For your specific case that isn't a highly sought after book or older so a little above CPG value, $5 or $6. That is my opinion and not an official opinion on it. Still, it's always cool to own a double cover book. R |

Just me nitpicking

Ha, ha, ha, you guys are killing me. I noticed that someone did that too and I've fixed one of them on Canto #1. Were there other examples of this casual style? Honestly, this was the first time I've ever seen this "way under ordered" thing. Pretty sure that it's not going to catch on. |

The changes that were made were related to a style sheet that Google recommends. From my understanding, the fix is related to screen resolution or video driver not updated. I'm not sure if the browser could affect this as well. R |

Marvel Presents #6 has been fixed as well. Speculator Special? It's catchy but there could be a negative vibe for some people with the word "speculator". |

Missing from the database & slight diff question
RonbatmanAdministrator

Welcome Rich, Odds are very good that anything you own is in this database. Sometimes it takes a little help with the search terms. For example, Kazar is actually Ka-zar. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/ka-zar-the-savage/scrp
Not sure why you couldn't find the Wolverine https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/wolverine/rlqw
The barcode vs the picture is the difference between a newsstand and a comic shop. We have begun to catalog them but for the most part they are the same price. Near the end of the newsstand era they became more rare in higher grades. R |

Marvel Super-Heroes #12 - 1st Appearance

The prices on this book are strange so if you have it in your collection you might have noticed a drop. The market is doing something very specific with this one.
First of all, if you own it, awesome. The market is valuing raw books at a lower price, desirable yes, but lower. The high end graded books, 9.6 and 9.8 are going nuts. Heritage had two sales of 9.8 books at over $6500!
I believe that this book is a key book that is highly sought after BUT people want it graded. If it's raw some collector will avoid it, maybe even think something is wrong with it because from a money point of view you can make a lot more from a graded book. Why wouldn't a seller grade it? Some don't like to grade their books, I totally understand. But it you're selling it, grade it first.
I hope that helps clarify the dramatic difference in raw and graded for this issue, Ron |

Paid members can see how many other paid members own a book. So QuinnsPuddinJoker shared that Spawn #1 is owned by 2575 paid members. We don't include free members since we don't know if it's real or if they are just checking prices for a book. We have some free members who say they own every expensive book so sometimes credibility is questionable. Other free members are great members of the community that we value.
X-men #1 Gatefold cover is owned by 2249 Spider-man #1 is owned by 1804 Superman #75 is owned by 1521 |

Martin, The site backup happens late Sunday night to early Monday morning. This is important in case of a cyber attack. We want to make sure that everyone's data is properly and safely backed up each week. If you try it today, everything should be fine. If you are still having an issue please let me know with an email and we will look into the problem with your account. ron (@) comicspriceguide.com |

There was some upward adjustment needed for those books. Taskmaster, we cannot evaluate the cost of one issue based on a whole set. We only consider the individual sales for each book. There would be no way to divide the cost out among the books because one issue is usually worth more. |
