"Not to Be Sold" Comped stamped Marvel comics Q

The standard for the last 100 years has been that any such kind of 'hand-stamped' stamp on a cover makes the book less valuable to MOST collectors. Even if you have receipts that itemize those books and it can be proven they belonged to a Marvel creator (who? that may make a diff), there's still how many other copies with those stamps handed out by other Marvel people? So unless they're also stamped as being so-and-so's personal file copies, they're just common as dirt defaced comics. Pretty much no one likes stamped comics, and even tho allowed in higher grades, they nearly always sell for less than clean copies, same as any other collectible, unless the ONLY versions were promo copies (some toys are like that). Free Comic Book Day comics have it printed on them, and since they're usually unique to that issue (I think), they're not devalued for the 'not for resale' note.
And the 'bolder' the stamp, the less the value.

I'm thinking he thinks that just because the mini-series was published between Vol 1 and Vol 2 that it makes the mini-series Vol 2. If that was the case there would be a ton of more 'volume' issues for all the X-Men titles and many other titles. Look at the number of other Astonishing X-Men mini-series and see that they don't impact the Vol. numbers for the regular series either.
So Casper, 'volumes' are distinguished between ONGOING series and mini-series. If that mini-series gets a sequel that goes with it, that sequel would say Vol 2 and the 1st series would be designated as Vol 1 for THAT mini-series. |

man, this book is confusing, thanks to Marvel. I don't find it listed here either. After multiple google searches, it seems Marvel used the cover for the Uncanny Inhumans story, and the Avengers story and the Secret Wars story is inside it. But some auction and Amazon sellers are listing it as Avengers FCBD Spanish edition despite showing the Inhumans cover.
I didn't find it on CPG under any title and using 'all countries'--not under All New All Different Avengers, or Uncanny Inhumans, or "dia del comic gratis" or Vengadores, or any FCBD or Free Comic Book Day coupled with those titles, so assume it's not listed. The US version for the 2015 FCBD Avengers is listed of course.
Attached a pic for CPG to use if they need it.

It's faster if you submit it yourself. save a GOOD cropped-to-the-edges pic with no watermark to your computer/phone first. then go to the page that issue should be on, click on the Variants tab, click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button in lower right after the other covers, and fill in the info boxes as best you can, and upload the pic from your computer/phone, and they'll get to it when they get to it.

saw today that we can now delete sent messages, so thanks! for those that want to, you can check them individually, or you can click the top checkbox for 'messages' and it will check all on THAT page, and then hit the delete message button over on the right. but you have to do that for every page you have, but it's pretty quick. I got rid of years of sent messages pretty quickly. another good thing is that it frees up some CPG server space if lots of people will do it. |

please post all your 'missing' comics in one post, it makes less clutter and less clicking. also check the insides to what the indicia says the title is. CPG has most everything from that era of those comics listed, you just have to know the correct title. thanks. |

it's listed. you need to look inside to see what the actual name of the series is. in this case, as noted on the cover above the big title, it's "JCP Features". it's here: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/jcp-features-jc/1/rbwxbq
and it's not hard to submit pics if there's a scan missing, and you're logged in-- there's a note to 'contribute scan' right below the Missing Scan image, when you hit the 'Details' tab. if CPG is missing the title/issue completely, then you report it in this forum.

CPG doesn't list values for signed comics, so if ALL of that edition were signed, then it won't be on the site. If only some were signed, you can submit a pic/scan yourself, it's faster. And if that's really cover #9F of volume 3, then they're also missing the D & E covers.

the copy in your post appears to be signed in the lower left corner, but hard to tell if those are printed sigs or hand written. if they all have them and are printed sigs, then just crop that pic to the edges and submit it. if it's hand signed, then find a pic on the net of an unsigned copy, I'm sure there's some at the publisher's site or on google image search, if you know how to copy and save a pic (with no watermarks, sometime they're hard to see). CPG won't want to use your pic if the sigs are hand-signed, as that may confuse people who are looking for that book unsigned or wonder why the one they bought doesn't have those sigs. |

I concur, take them out of the shrink wrap, as it will keep shrinking with age and bend the comics and offers nothing value-wise. learned from experience ages ago. |
