I brought this up in the old forum. Ox may remember what the answer was. I'll have to find my copy as i used it as a reference to the same problem Sclingerman has. Sorry can't remember now Lol. |

Found it, Same as Sclingerman Has .35c on cover. There is a reference to the fabled .40c Issue #21 at Comic Book Realm but no pic for it. https://comicbookrealm.com/series/897/0/marvel-comics-godzilla-vol-1
Ah! Remember now ...The problem i had was with Issue #22. It has the diamond price box with no UPC (blank) Looks to be an early direct edition or most likely a Whitman variant of that issue. edited by Gilgandra on 5/17/2017 edited by Gilgandra on 5/17/2017 edited by Gilgandra on 5/17/2017 |

OK..... So then the #21B is a 40 cent variant (according to the CBR site), and I request that the comment needs to be changed to read "40-cent variant. Low distribution.".
And we don't even really have solid evidence for this being true. I've searched for this, and the CBR is the only place I see it. So is there some CPG term for this, where we've HEARD a comic exists, but don't have visual proof? Something like "Supposedly exists."?
Yep! Lol, 40 cent phantom issue. That i can ascertain & yourself, among others is that for starters there is no #21 35 cent variant (because it already is worth that amount). Secondly, a 40 cent issue variant has to be proven & no-one no-where has one to prove it. So therefore it is just a regular #21 & that's that
I'll ask the administrators to remove the offending #21 variant & see what happens. Wish me luck!!! |

After browsing your titles I did come to find one but my comic has a Barcode on the front cover, yours doesn't. http://
G'day Juan Pozos. It's called a Newsstand Copy or variant (with Barcode) This one was sold at any or all magazine/book outlets. They where in general handled roughly.
The one on CPG is called a Direct Edition (no barcode), Sold directly to LCS's (Local Comic Shop's). More specifically targeted at collectors. These books where generally handed with more care.
They are the one & the same book, Newsstand copies from the 80's into the 90's are becoming much popular as they are becoming harder to find, Especially in higher grade.
Hope that helped. edited by Gilgandra on 5/18/2017 |

I've really been into Marvel's bronze age horror revival the past few years and since then I found public domain horror over at Comic Book Plus ( http://comicbookplus.com/?cbplus=horror ) which is pretty awesome- ads and all. Are there any EC books someone can recommend for me to try and hunt down as a primer?

It's thin flat cardboard, but it looks realistic.
"What Dreams May Come" was visually a very interesting movie. The story was both dark and one of relentless hope. Robin Williams goes to heaven and then has to save his wife who went the other direction. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the ending was plausible. Artistically, I seem to recall that some scenes were like paintings that were fluid and in motion.

Wow. Just watched an alternate ending on youtube that's worse than the one they went with.
