I've been around. I tried to check in at the old forums a few times over the past 6 months or so to see if they had come back. I had tried the forums link on here, as well, but it was not up yet, I suppose. I was a bit surprised when it worked the other day.

Glad to see the boards are back.

Yeah i've been a little quite myself. No backs issues to mention for months now. Just new stuff! (what the wallet can afford Lol).
Been helping out Tex over at his blog with some new book reviews although i haven't done one of them in a while either...Need to get back on the band wagon!

Hello there everyone,

I'm newsgirl1972 I have some not so young comics laying around the oldest is from 2007. Almost all my comic are sleeved and board from the day I bought them. except supergirl #23 January 2008, she is just sleeved. my question is my comic minted or gem minted?here is a picture of the type of comic I have http://i.imgur.com/ddNDjI9.jpg. It's batgirl new 52 #1.

Welcome to the boards newsgirl1972...To answer you very noob question, No it's neither.
Both Mint & Gem Mint are rare grades only seen with/by professionally graded services eg: CGC, CBCS. That is slabbed or is encased in special plastic.

Although if your book is as good as the day you bought it then it would be NM 9.4 (Near Mint) which is about as good as it will be raw...meaning yours is raw even though it's in a bag & has a backing board.

Here is a link to some info on grading comic books from this site.

Hope that helps!

Hey. It's you guys smile

I've haven't been doing much either.

Last LCS trip I got only one funny book

Look at that spine roll. The tears are small, no marks, no tape, no missing pieces, nice colors. I'd call it a solid 3.0... Wanna see the front?

1st Vulture; soon to be played by Michael Keaton. Neat huh?
A nice looking lower grade.

Nice pick up Robbie ASM #2 wow (spine roll or not that's awesome).

Thanks. Geez, this forum is slow and crashes a lot...

Early Spidey has bunches of keys. Ditko & JR just liked creating new bad guys.

Yeah! i thought it was only me...But i can surf YouTube with no problems. But is really slow for me also, (gremlins in the system maybe).
Makes it difficult to look about & post.

G'day HR, I have not been on here lately because the site is just too slow for my ageing computer (i don't know why).
Place new books into the database is a pain now & even writing this took 10 mins.

But i simply have no back issues to post...At all Lol. Akira was the last one i bought.

I think your looking in the wrong place, Deathblow #1-3 are flip books (meaning two comics in one book, One each side) Image regularly done this & catches alot of collectors.
Nick Manabat also did some work in Deathblow #4 but that was his last i think.
