that super long URL stretches out the page just a little bit of internet sleuthing finds this info on a blog: "Triumph Comics #6 is a true gem, the last Triumph published by Hillsborough Studios; it would switch over to Bell Features publishing with #7."
comics.org had a pic, so attached it. you do know to bookmark that site for such things, right? and post a link to the CPG listing: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/triumph-adventure-comics/rhtuk https://www.comics.org/series/14757/covers/ if you want to add #3 and 4 to the guide too, with the Report Missing Issue function. |

All nicknames require the leading apostrophe in order to look them up by the nickname. Note, that when a nickname is active, in the Add flow you only have to type the nickname and it pops right up. Some other flows allow you to use the nickname without the leading apostrophe. I'm not sure if that is by design or a bug. I agree, needing to remember the leading apostrophe can be frustrating. The same happens if pseudonyms are configured like nicknames. Anyway, whenever I see a name/artist that seems like a acronym or non-standard, I will immediately use the apostrophe if the initial search fails. Hope this is helpful and maybe someone can assist with the feasibility of the search to always look at the Nickname for matching.
-David thanks for that info. I don't do much with adding creators, but do some. this leading apostrophe thing is yet another hidden 'feature' that should be added to the Creator Add box text when it comes up, so EVERYONE can know. Adding 1 sentence of text should be quick to do. and "the feasibility of the search to always look at the Nickname for matching" would be nice too, may negate having to add the sentence about the leading apostrophe. Glorkar, I assume you're talking about the Creator Add form for individual issues, right? Cuz if you're using the search page for searching Creators ( https://comicspriceguide.com/creators ), you don't need the apostrophe when using nicknames, from a couple tests I did with artgerm and cafu. or maybe you know that already, it just wasn't clear in your post. edited by collectibleshop on 12/17/2023 |

The main problem with trade paperback searches is that many times, if the TPBs are reprints vs original prints, then only the title it reprints show on results, and that's supposed to tell you that the title has TPBs of it, so you go there and use the TPB tab, but many people don't know that. And to me, they're not titled right either, so do you own them to see what the indicia inside says? I didn't find a screenshot on the net. To me they should be titled as on the cover, not just with the 'logs' part in the subtitle, then they'd show up in searches like they should (theoretically). Everywhere else has them as Star Trek: The Enterprise Logs, and I'd guess that's what's on the inside too. maybe an admin will adjust that, but proof would help, so if you can post a scan or pic of the indicia, that would confirm things. |

still weird that the bottom edit menu still doesn't show on this thread to me, yet it's fine on others I've started or replied to.
and note to CPG, 2 of the 3 pics for this series are broken, at least for me. still a LOT of that happening. |

and while we're fixing things with this title, #2 seems to have a b&w xerox copy cover (crooked too), so attached the (hopefully) correct one from GCD. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/triumph-adventure-comics/2/tjqvbp |

Yeah, I was talking about when you are adding the creators to an individual issue. ok. I fixed my misspelling of your name in my previous post too |

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/necroscope/2A/pbquis subtitle says "Without tatooes". It's tattoos with no E, so was Dan Quayle submitting info? (I'll take Political Trivia for $100 Alex. Or Ken. Or Mayim/Blossom. Or guess not Mayim now...) Or maybe if you get one on the planet Tatooine it's called a Tatooe? Star Wars humor, haw!
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/naughty-bits/3-2nd%20Print/pctyht says cover price is $2.25, but the submitted pic on the verify page shows $2.50, which it seems is what identifies it as a 2nd print like the other 2nd prints. edited by collectibleshop on 12/22/2023 |

collectibleshop here is one for you to research because I came up empty. thanks for the vote of confidence, but I can't do anything more magic than you to research stuff. the Big G comes up only with the same #1 on e**y. comics.org, mcs, the vine and the league don't have it at all. mile high does, but only the 1 issue. 1 of the other database sites has it, says it's a one-shot, which by the lack of any other issues to be found, would appear to be the case. Not sure where CPG got the 6 issues info back whenever it got listed. Is it in OPG? If there's no issues to be found by now, since the 1987 publishing date, then it's likely this was a one-shot. |
