Infinite Destinies / Infinite Fury cover misprints

So I'm finally getting around to reading all of the Marvel Annuals that are part of the Infinite Destinies / Infinite Fury story arcs.
I've noticed that there are misprints on two of the covers.

Guardians of the Galaxy (https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/guardians-of-the-galaxy/1_annual/phusmps) shows Part 4 of 8 on the cover, but is in reality part 6 (as shown on the title page of the backup story).

Miles Morales: Spider-Man (https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/miles-morales-spider-man/1_annual/phurmvy) shows Part 5 of 8 on the cover, but is in reality part 7 (as shown on the title page of the backup story).

The indicia doesn't mention anything about the story or backup story.
.
Just double checked to make sure I had my numbering right.
Are those the numbers printed on your cover? Or the actual story that printed in the book?
.
My cover A copy of GotG definitely has "Infinite Fury Part 4 of 8" printed on the cover. Flip to the story and it's titled "Infinite Fury Part VI".
My cover A copy of MM: SM has "Infinite Fury Part 5 of 8" printed on the cover. Flip to the story and it's titled "Infinite Fury Part VII".
.
I did find this that states that Marvel planned on releasing them in a different order initially: https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Infinite_Destinies
That lines up with yours, but not mine.

I didn't know this was a thing. I read a few comics on Webtoons and today I got a notification that this series dropped.
So apparently DC Comics and Webtoon have a deal.
This is the first series they released. It's a cutesy slice of life series. It's light and fun. Totally worth checking out.

So, The Suicide Squad. Have you seen it? Did you like it?
I'm gonna throw this out there and say that I was not impressed. I feel like there were too many characters and the story was mediocre at best. Best performance was hands down Rat Catcher 2.
All in all, (I know it's not popular opinion) I liked the first one better.

Go to the main cover of the issue you have a variant for.
Click on the tab named "Variants".

Scroll to the bottom of the listed variants. In the bottom right corner is a red button named " ! Report Missing Variant ".
Click the button and fill in the blanks.

Questions about Bagging and Boarding

I've run into a few regular issues that are oversized (example, all of the Batman Urban Legends issues) that don't fit in modern/current size bags. I always seem to have some old ones lying around from ebay purchases that are a little larger that they seem to fit in. I've been debating buying some golden age bags and boards to see if they fit in those.

This is the first appearance of Slash.
Should get a note and maybe a price adjustment. Seems to be getting a bit of love on the auction sites recently.

Dealing with A Seller that accepts offer then.....

It's the sellers prerogative if they want to accept an offer or not.
And when someone offers an insane amount of money, it would be silly not to accept.
However, it's absolutely ridiculous when the person who offered the money says, "Oh, never mind. I don't really want to pay you that much. I was just hoping that it would start a conversation and I could get it for less than I said I was willing to pay".
That's the sort of behavior that should get called out.

So he has a book listed at $2. You offer $2. He ignores you. You offer $500. He accepts. You reneg and say you'll only pay him $2.

I get that he had poor communication on ignoring the initial offer and not just rejecting it.
But the way you acted was just as bad imo.
If a seller ignored me, I would just go to a different seller. You were trying to start drama with the second offer. It appears you succeeded.

If you didn't want comments and feedback from the random masses, maybe you should have taken a hot second to think about things before you posted on a public forum.

You basically staked a sign in your front yard with your phone number and a message saying "don't call me".

Lady Mechanika : The Monster of the Ministry of He

So Lady Mechanika is getting some new issues. Joe Benitez has signed back on with Image Comics.
The first issue of the new arc is available for preorder (in store early Dec), as well as on Kickstarter if you want a special exclusive edition.

I've only ever read the FCBD story, but I've always been intrigued. This seemed like the perfect time to jump into things (the full collection of TPBs available on the Kickstarter for $90 doesn't hurt either, lol).

Sooooo, who's watching it? What are your thoughts? Do you have a favorite episode?

I'm gonna be honest. I can't remember specifics from a lot of the episodes without looking into it.
I don't know. They were all okay, but none of them were great? Like, I don't regret watching them, but I'm truly not going to remember any of them in a month or so.

The first episode with Peggy as a super soldier was probably my favorite, if I had to pick one. Not sure why. Maybe because I have a soft spot for female protagonists.

The Dr. Strange episode made no sense to me because it conflicted with the events in the movie, yet the cartoon made it appear that the events in the movie were impossible.

I just felt that all of it was really poor writing. I feel that the animation is overly cliche with exaggerated expressions and reactions.

The only thing I liked about any of them is that they got some of the actual actors to do the voice work on many characters. Everything else was forgettable.

Being different than the movies is the whole point of the series.
In the Dr. Strange episode, the whole premise is What If instead of becoming a cripple, he lost the love of his life?
Instead of spending his life trying to get his old life back, he spends it trying to simply bring her back to life.
It's that driving force that takes him down a dark path while he tries to change the unchangeable.

That's what the multiverse is all about. One small change can have a drastic impact on the outcome of everything else.

I can see your point with the Dr Strange story. You're right in that even though the tragedy was different, he still became a sorcerer. No matter what happened to him, he was always destined to become what he did.

I felt the same sort of "meh" towards the Star Lord / T'Challa episode. It just seems unlikely to me that some smooth talking rich kid would be able to 'set straight' a bunch of murderous thugs right from the start of their time together.

And I'm kind of with you on all of the shows not being spectacular. Each one had it's moments, but overall they were just filler while I'm waiting for movies to come out.
Honestly, my favorite Marvel TV show is still Agents of Shield. I know a lot of people didn't like it, but that seems pretty typical for the stuff I enjoy most.

Dollar Bin Digging - Signed Books

When I have a few extra minutes, I like to dig though the dollar bins at my LCS.
Yesterday I found two signed books. I'm not familiar with the either the books or the signers, but it's always neat to find something like that, you know?
.
.
Alphabet Supes signed by Jim Krueger - Apparently I should know him. He's written for both major brands and a ton of other books.
According to Comicvine, he's written over 300 books.
His big runs appear to be the Marvel Earth-X, Universe-X and Paradise-X books.
https://comicvine.gamespot.com/jim-krueger/4040-41498/issues-cover/
.
The Imaginaries #2 (Titus variant) signed by Ben Avery - looks like his claim to fame is adapting George R. R. Martin's Hedge Knight to comic book form.

I'm enjoying the book so far. Definitely plays well with the show itself. All of the voices of the characters pop right into my head, lol.
It's a shame it's only a 6 issue mini. Would have been a great opportunity to release a new character in issue 12 as a nod to Harley's first appearance in an animation related title.

I buy BCW Current THICK bags as they seem to accommodate most current books, annuals and giant size. For TPB and smaller hard covers, I'll use either silver or golden age depending on the thickness.

Just wanted to let you know I picked up a pack of the thick bags from Amazon. (Linky to the ones I got) (The desc. says 500 count up top but it really is just 100).
I had my ASM 74 waiting patiently for these to show up. I was a little doubtful when I pulled the first one out of the sleeve. It just didn't look like what I was picturing for some reason (I was expecting square edges or something crazy like that).
Slid a board in, then the book.
It's almost like it was made for that sort of thing, lol. Truly, it fit perfectly. So glad you told me this was a thing.
