Data error?

Is there going to be a follow-up to this question? Inictus has a really good point. $375 down to $67 is a drop off of over 80%! According to the Guide, issues #2, 3, 4, 5 at 8.0 are all worth more than #1 at 8.0! I haven't come across any other examples with these extremes, but there may be others... |

That does look much better........EXCEPT the graded issues. The graded issues don't start out-pricing the raw issues until 9.0! A little more tweaking, sorry! I also wish you a nice weekend! Thanks! |

I also had my life's collection stolen!! My whole childhood of collecting all gone in one day...or night! Although as an adult (with my wife's encouragement and help) I started collecting again with a vengeance and have 5 times what I had before, I still get my panties in a wad thinking what probably happened to all my Amazing Spider-man, Captain America, Incredible Hulk, etc. Sorry, didn't have anything to add to help.....Rysin's story made vent.... |

Hello, I was just entering some comics and noticed a mistake. The date for Fantastic Four Volume 3 #1 incorrectly says "January 1988" when it should be "January 1998". It appears the other issues are correct. Take care and stay safe out there! gage |

I was literally eyeing a #181 on eBay about 30 minutes before this post, prompting a similar question. It is a CGC 6.5 with a missing MVS for $1,700, and I was wondering if that grade and pricing was fair compared to a complete book. Even though it's not a whole page, I assume the missing MVS pulls the "real" value down? |

Just want to point out real quick that the one-shot comic Hulk vs. Hercules: When Titans Collide is listed under Hulk vs. Hercules: When Titans Clash. You can plainly see on the cover it says "Collide". No biggie, I just happened to notice today...

Special Marvel Edition #1, 2 & 3 show being released January, April & September in 1971. However, #4 shows being released February 1971. I assume that was typo and should be 1972. Tiny detail, but hope my assumption is correct.

Flash #140, Volume 1

Hi, I noticed something strange while researching Flash #140. Starting with a 7.5, and several grades below that, it shows that a raw in that condition is worth slightly MORE (15 cents) than a graded copy. I may not have even batted an eye if the amounts were identical for either side, but raws being worth more than graded? It's not even consistent down the line from there. For every grade below that a raw and graded are either even, the raw is worth a few cents more than a graded, or the graded is barely worth more than the raw. Everything in 8.0 or higher makes sense, raw versus graded. I've pointed out a few small inconsistencies like this on other books and almost never get any answer or feedback, but I'll still try anyway. Thanks to whoever may read this!! gage

Yes, makes sense on newer books. I often wonder why certain books get slabbed at all. I think what struck me with the Flash comic was that it is an older book and all the price variances are pennies. Why bother? What algorithm came up with that, rather than simply identical worth? Thanks for the any and all comments! |
