DC Elseworlds

I never collected any Batman, until Elseworlds came out. He seemed perfect for all the many eras and gothic scenarios the writers were creating. After break from comics (for financial reasons) until about 2010, I was pretty bummed to see they discontinued Elseworlds many years before. Maybe it wouldn't have lasted 20+ years, but there is still potential for more, and I do hope they bring it back someday.
All my faves have already been suggested.

Complete runs!

Hi Everybody,
I've been picking up my game in collecting back issues in the last few years and been using CPG exclusively for logging my collections.
It would be great if there was something that showed "Complete Run" once I finished collecting a certain title. There could be a "complete" box for standard issues, then a separate one for any variants if you were collecting those too.
I've written to CPG to suggest this and was told it was a good idea and it may be included in the future.

Does anybody else like this idea?

I realize you have your own type of satisfaction once you complete something big like Amazing Spider-man or Daredevil, but if you're collecting ALL the Captain America titles or all the Punisher titles (where a couple runs look very similar to each other), it would be A LOT easier with a system that helps keep track of that.

Appreciate your feedback! Even better: if you like the idea, maybe you can also suggest it to CPG to help move it along.
Thank you!

Yes, I agree, especially on a "comics wanted" feature.
Thank you for the feedback!
Another thing I'd like is a mobile app. I have my own written lists, but they can get a little sloppy over time. I try to use CPG on my phone when I'm out and about, but using the full site is a little clunky.

I was just going to write CPG about the possibility of a mobile app., and I saw this thread.
I completely agree with the idea. Using the full site on my phone when I'm out searching for comics is tough,,,and slow!
Hope it happens...

I'm bummed to see CPG didn't use my suggestion of having a "Complete Run" checkbox if you've gotten everything in a particular title. Not only would it be satisfying to see that on a title you worked really hard to complete, but it would be helpful when collecting something that has several runs, like Punisher.

Well here it comes... The best DC movie made so far. Yes, I know people say "Wonder Woman" is, but there were scenes that dragged during the exposition. In the movie "Justice League," nothing drags. Without meaning to insult DC entertainment, this movie is as good as a Marvel superheroes movie. DC has finally gotten it right. Thank you Zack Snyder, the director.
And as people expected, Superman comes back from the dead. But this is a mightier Superman...a more confident Superman. The Flash, on the other hand, for this movie is a newbie. Relatively new at the superhero business. Apparently, he has been around, but secretly doing good deeds and not coming up against any adversaries. That is until he becomes part of the newly formed Justice League.
Gal Gadot is still stunning as Wonder Woman. She has many good scenes so the Wonder Woman fans will not be disappointed.
The one character that I thought might be a weakness for the movie, Cyborg, in no way hinders the film. He holds his own very well.
When the ending credits come on, do not leave the theater when you see the first sequence. There is a final sequence at the very end of the credits which I can see influencing the price of a certain comic book already. Word must have gotten out.
This is a very fun movie and everybody should enjoy it.

It was better than BvS, but suffered from the lack of just one director's focus. The story was pretty choppy and could have been more seamless. I'm not saying Joss Whedon or Zack Snyder would have been better over the other, but I do think either director's full vision would have produced an easier viewing.
High points: Wonder Woman, Flash and Cyborg.
Low points: Superman's return, but no black costume! Steppenwolf never really seemed like too big of a threat.
On the fence: Ben Affleck's Batman is not terrible, or great, but it sounds like he wants out so we may not get the chance to see him get worse or better. I had high hopes for Aquaman. He was OK, but not great. Maybe his movie will give him more time to shine....

Spider-Man: Homecoming

I have been a Spider-man fan for 35 years, and honestly, I will take any of the movies they will make! I've liked every movie and reboot so far, even with the liberties they're taking with characters and storylines. Some are better than others, but I'm happy to see any of them. Tom Holland is fantastic! Marisa Tomei is great. Although she is far younger than the Aunt May of the comics, her character's age is more appropriate for an aunt of a 15 year old.

Fox's The Gifted and ABC's The Inhumans

Both shows are horrible, for different reasons. Inhumans just completely missed the mark and seems silly. Lot of money wasted on that one! The Gifted had potential for good stories and display of powers, but it just looks like another excuse to get more good looking people on TV. The Runaways on Hulu is a little cheesy, but way more watchable than The Gifted.

That is still something that could happen.

Yes, hopefully! I wrote in about it earlier in 2017 and got a positive response from CPG. When I saw that a new format was coming, I'd hoped to see that added, but no.

No app, unfortunately. It's been suggested a few times, but I don't think it's gained any traction.

SOME SMALL GLITCHES WITH THE NEW CPG.COM

I'm currently having trouble editing single issues from "My Collection". When you add an issue, it automatically goes in as a 9.4, but when I go to click on Edit, the "no" red circle with the line through it appears. I can click on the other options, but not Edit. I've used it many times since the Format change, but it hasn't worked in the last week..
I've been buying a lot more comics on eBay lately, and committed to entering the correct grade, price, etc., so this glitch is slowing me down....

Thanks! The issue has ceased. It was about a week that it was giving me a problem.....

Man-Bat, I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. (I know you're not going to like that answer but it's the truth) People can add multiple issues of the same book but they aren't combined. To 99% of the user of the site this is a non-issue. I'm sorry because I know that is important to you.
