Venom has escaped from prison and plans revenge against Spider-Man. Meanwhile, Styx attacks Spidey as he lifts Jay Leno and Malcolm Forbes for charity. When Spidey knocks Styx off a building, his partner Stone rescues him and they escape, Peter and MJ have a romantic dinner in front of a poster of the Paris skyline. The next day, Eddie Brock visits Aunt May. MJ confronts Jonathon Caesar, telling him to call off Styx & Stone and leave Spidey alone, Caesar Ignores her. Later, May calls Peter and tells him Eddie Brock was looking for him. She tells Peter she lied to Eddie, telling him that Pete had a photo assignment in Central Park's Sheep Meadow. When Spidey arrives there, Venom, disguised as a mounted policeman, attacks. As they fight, a baby is knocked into the lake. Venom webs Spidey up, preparing to finish him off, but saves the innocent baby instead, departing as the police arrive. Styx & Stone follow him into abandoned subway tunnels hoping Venom will lead them to Spidey. If Venom doesn't kill Spidey, then they will.
