Power prey! Sebastian Shaw traces the source of Spider-Man's new powers to the experiments of Dr. Lubisch. Hoping to take away the new abilities, Shaw blackmails Lubisch into building a new energy projector. Meanwhile Loki magically mergers the remains from three Sentinels of Shaw's into a new Tri-Sentinel. The robot is sent to attack the Amity Point Nuclear Power Plant. Spider-Man attempts to stop the Tri-Sentinel but is interrupted by Graviton who is quickly dealt with. Also while en route, Spidey is shot by Dr. Lubisch's new energy projector. This does not take away the cosmic powers, but instead gives Spider-Man full awareness of the Enigma Force turning him into Captain Universe. With the new abilities, Cosmic Spider-Man diverts the nuclear catastrophe and loses the Captain Universe abilities soon after. The issue ends with Flash Thompson stopping by to introduce Pete and Mary Jane to his new girlfriend, Felicia Hardy.
