First comic ever devoted solely to Captain Marvel - it predates the series, Captain Marvel Adventures. This is the first time Fawcett ever dedicated an entire comic to one character alone. This is also the first time a person was depicted riding a bomb in comics. As this was an early appearance of Captain Marvel, his costume design had not been finalized - unlike his current costume, in this issue, Captain Marvel had a buckle on his sash with the initial M, did not have a buttoned shirt flap, and his arm bands were a bit dfferent.
