 Bialya, My Bialya
International dictator Rumaan Harjavti announces the scheduled unveiling of a secret weapon that will make his country Bialya a world power. Recognizing that Harjavti should never have access to such power, Batman decides to take the League undercover to Bialya. His team consists of Green Flame, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.

While Batman readies himself for the trip to Bialya, the Martian Manhunter, Big Barda and G'nort try to track down Mister Miracle. Mister Miracle is currently unconscious aboard Lord Manga Khan's cluster ship - a fact that even surprises Manga Khan himself. After surveying the situation, Khan retires to his quarters to talk loudly to himself.

In Bialya, Batman poses as Bruce Wayne with Beetle and Booster serving as his personal valets. Green Flame attends as Bruce's gal-pal. He tells the other League members that the real Bruce Wayne "owed him a favor", and so he let him "impersonate" him for the Bialya mission (the other League members are unaware of Batman's true identity).

Rumaan Harjavti holds an assemblage to unveil his new super-weapon. Also present is his partner the Queen Bee whose behavioral modification techniques have proven useful towards giving Bialya their own defense force. In front of dozens of spectators, Harjavti introduces Wandjina the Thunderer. However, what he doesn't realize, is that Wandjina is not in service to Rumaan, but to the Queen Bee. Upon her orders, Wandjina uses his corrosive touch to kill Rumaan Harjavti in front of the entire assembly. The Queen Bee declares herself the new queen of Bialya.
