When the criminal Mr. Marlow uses toy robots to steal the Z-25 plans from Carol Ferris, Hal tries to stop the robot clown but fails to do so. Chasing after it as Green Lantern he finds Marlow's base he decides to eavesdrop on them. He then learns that the room is filled with a yellow radiation, which the crooks are protected by with special necklaces. To get around this vulnerability, Green Lantern uses his power ring to change him into a robot so that he can try and stop the crooks.
