War Of The Weapons Wizards! Having faked Green Lantern into believing that he had deadened the parts of his brain that give him his super mind, Hector Hammond escapes from prison by taking control of one of the prison guards who carried him out. He then frees Sonar to use him as a pawn to get revenge on the Green Lantern. In order to determine the best way to beat Green Lantern, Hector plans to put together the intended scenario: Using his subconscious powers to switch Green Lantern and Sonar's weapons, into Green Lantern's mind so that he can learn how the Green Lantern would win in a battle. With this, he can come up with a better plan to destroy his enemy that will work.
