Meet The Flintstones Fred & Wilma Flintstone are the parents of "a typical Stone Age family" in Bedrock. After Wilma makes breakfast, Fred is off to work at the Rock Head and Quarry Cave Construction Company. Baby-Puss, their saber-toothed cat, & Deeno, their pet dinosaur, have Fred's lunchbox & work shirt ready at the front door. Next door, Barney & Betty Rubble are "enacting a similar scene." Fred & Barney run into each other (literally) as they're both running out the door.
This one-page story is in black & white on the inside front cover.
Hopped Up Hassle Fred gets a visit from his nephew Rodney Rocktop. Fred takes Rodney to the museum, where Fred admits, "they have exhibits all the way back to 3,000 B.C. -- over fifty years ago!"
Rodney enjoys fixing things & proceeds to make an unflyable plane able to fly, which he & Fred take for a flight.
Friendship Fall-Out Fred & Barney argue over Deeno burying bones in Barney's yard. Fred offers a compromise to the situation, only to dupe Barney into thinking he was being friendly. This kicks off a good old-fashioned tit-for-tat contest.
Perry Gunite: Fred's Private Eye Try Tired of the daily grind at the rock quarry, Fred ventures as the assistant of a local private eye. He sure his his work cut out for him as Perry takes on Butch Brontasourpuss & his gang.
Vim And Vigor Vendors Fred is feeling low on energy & accepts a couple vitamin pills from Barney. Only they weren't actually vitamins but fish food, which surprisingly gives Fred lots of energy. Fred & Barney then decide to sell them on the street, advertising them as "the new Flintstone Fight Formula." This is a full 7 years before Flintstone Chewable Vitamins hit grocery store shelves in 1968.
Snorky The Snorkasaurus: A-Hunting They Go Fred & Barney decide to go hunting in order to lighten their food bills. They first shoot at then eventually -- through Wilma's insistence -- befriend a snorkasaurus.
Trumped-Up Tramps Wilma & Betty give a calling hobo something to eat. Unnerved by the seemingly naivety of their wives, Fred & Barney disguise themselves as tramps in order to teach the girls a lesson. The rube goes awry when some local tramps decide to teach them a lesson of their own.
Deeno's Big Day Wilma & Betty enter Deeno in a pet show. Along the way, Deeno gets the hiccups, which he passes on to the other contestants. The girls decide to visit a fortune teller for a cure, who then sends them on a quest for enough lava leaves to cure Deeno.
Getting The Bird Wilma & Betty don't like how Fred & Barney spend their weekends sleeping in their hammocks, so they encourage them (rudely) to get a hobby. The boys decide to take up bird watching & head off to the woods, only to accidentally attract a pterodactyl.
