I got the BD15 Anthology Special today. It came out late, and the next issue comes out early, July planned shipping. They also added the issue sequence number in the indicia for this issue.
I asked if it would be possible to have crowdfunded comics to have their own thread category like the underground comics, at least so there is someplace they can be acknowledged. If that happens I will move this one and other threads to there.

That is my understanding also. Which is why I requested a special place for them to be noted. They would still be searchable in the forums, but not added to the database. I want a Crowdfunding category like the Underground Comics category for putting all the Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Coffin Comics, IndieCrowdfund, and other such publications put out that don't go through the general distribution channels. I contemplated noting them in the ask anything string, but for now am waiting to see if I can get a string just for them.

The problem with the blind bags is there is usually more than one cover possible inside the bag, so the inside photo cover would probably be different for the next bag that is open. Case in point are some of the Mark Spears bags which had over 70 different covers possible. I know some show the blind bag for the cover, and then list the covers inside the bag as another cover variation. Gun Honey books are some examples.

The database has this as a softcover, it is actually a hardcover in a hardcover slipcase. Location https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/ultimate-oz-universe/1Bsoft_cover/pnqxjpp

Can someone from admin please correct this. FYI, the second volume should be available in the next quarter or so and will have the same slipcase style also in hardcover.

Just what you have as a cover B is a hardcover. The regular cover is a trade paperback format.

FYI there is also a Cover C hardcover called the Collector's Cabinet Edition limited to 500 copies and is also a hardcover. You can look at that down the page at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/awastudios/ultimate-oz-universe/description

Another FYI there is a FCBD 2026 issue of Ultimate OZ Universe Vol. 2 Preview Edition that is not in the database, as well as 5 others not in the database as I noted in Ron's thread about this years FCBD & CGD books.

How to pin a thread or add a topic line

pittlw
pittlw
Since crowdfunded comics are no longer added to the database, I want to have a thread that can be pinned so it can be found easily, or have a topic in General Interest on crowdfunded comics. This would be for anyone interested in looking for Kickstarter, Coffin Comics, or other comic releases sold on-line and not through normal distribution, there can be a place for them. Would ask that the same info used to add a missing book to the database be used to give information on what the book is, where it came from, and who and what was published. It would at least be searchable, especially if the title of the publication is used in the thread post.

Bride Graphic Novel by CB Zane

pittlw
pittlw
This Kickstarter graphic novel that I just got from CB Zane and Wendy Steen Shaner is just a beautiful work of art and storytelling. It is a steampunk inspired, love story reimagining of the gothic novel, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Mostly black and white with color used for impact.

Title is Bride One-Shot. Publication date of March 2026 by CB Zane/Outpost 426 and Wendy Steen Shaner/Naughty Faeries. The indicia has an error saying March 2006, verified the error with the publisher. The Kickstarter was March/April 2026.

The books were available as Single issues, Acts 1-2 in 5 covers, Acts 3-4 in 5 covers, and Act 5 in 5 covers. Also the graphic novel which came with all 5 Acts was available in 10 different covers. I got the Moonlight Kodiart Graphic Novel Edition, scan provided.

There is also a 50 minute digital animated/motion format movie available, which won honorable mention at the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival!

You can find out more at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/naughtyfaeries/bride?ref=discovery_category&term=bride&total_hits=17&category_id=252

The Ultimate Oz Universe books are not just Kickstarter, there is a soft cover release for bookstores, Amazon, etc.

I also made note on Ron's FCBD 2026 that there were 6 titles missing, 5 FCBD, 1 CGD.

Officially the title is Ultimate Oz Universe Vol. 2 Into the Outerlands Preview FCBD 2026

Why don't "Comics for Sale" include Cover Scans?

pittlw
pittlw
I took the paid subscription to CPG about a 1/2 a year ago, hoping to have a venue that I could sell comics and not have to pay the 13.5% commission on the total sale payment. I listed about 500 of my 50K comics on here and for items that were in a condition less than 9.4, I submitted a scan for items I put up for sale. The scans are there that I uploaded and are attached to the for sale items, but I do see that it does still say that it is not the actual scan when looking at the listing.

In this time I have not had one offer, the only inquiry was for a box of underground comix that I had before I listed them all, so that there was a list of what I had of those kind of books.

Even though there is no such thing as a Buy It Now, sellers can take the initial offer they have it listed for, or in their item description give a price that they will take without delay for a "better" price. It does seem that people that have no sales on CPG have a hard time getting initial sales. They are new? so don't know what they are doing or have no service record of how they would do. For me personally it is disappointing as I have over a 6400 feedback rating on Ebay (plpunlimited), and have been selling on there for many years and have a Top Rated Seller Level. I've also tried the classified ads on here to garner interest, but no joy has happened from that either. I've also sent messages to members on here for books they are looking for and that I have, but no takers on that route either.

It takes liberties to make it unique, but stays true to the outline of the novel, with a steampunk flavor, 74 pages. Check out the link to the Kickstarter campaign, there are trailers and examples of art and story from the book. If anyone lives near Beverly Hills, California, there is going to be a one time showing of the movie at Lumiere Cinema on June 24th.

Books are available on https://naughtyfaeries.com/ and probably any shows they are going to be at.

Blind Bags Are Not A Comic

pittlw
pittlw
The blind bag craze is making a mess, but they can be cleaned up by having some kind of rule as to how to list the comics inside the bag. Keenspot has done a great job of this by naming every cover they are offering and giving them a cover number. I have included an example where the blind bag is cover A, and each possible cover is assigned a number, so number 10 becomes A10, number 72 is A72. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/mark-spears-monsters---the-monster-wolf/1/pixqovy

So even though the blind bag is not a comic, it contains one or more, so the included covers should be cover (whatever the bag was for the cover) and the number or letter of the variant inside of the bag.

As far as value, still sealed would be based on what the bag was sold for, once opened, it is subject to the commonality or scarcity of the comic included.

I have over 3000 comics for sale on Ebay at my PLP Unlimited store, many of them are being offered at 20% off on already well below book value prices if buying multiple items. The search page can be found at https://www.ebay.com/usr/plpunlimited

I also have close to 500 comics for sale on the CPG site. I can combine packages with Ebay items and be able to give free shipping to all items purchased on the CPG site. I have over a 6400 for feedback rating on Ebay, so I am an experienced seller. I'm still waiting for my first sale on this CPG site.

I have bundles of 25 or more comics for sale for $18 with free shipping, all bagged and boarded.

M.A.S.K. Blind Bags (ROM and Origins)

pittlw
pittlw
There are plenty for sale on Ebay if you are looking for the actual comics. They are selling upwards of $30.

If you are looking for the books in the database, it may take a little time to catch up. If you have the books and want to submit the variants, you can do that yourself on the page listing, click on variants, click on the report missing variants green bar upper right corner, and provide the info on the missing books. The issue #2 advance copy would be a variant to that issue number.

If ROM is more than just the cover on MASK #1, then that book would need to be a new listing for the ROM title, under Image and a one-shot per the info on your link you provided. I would very much like the ROM book as I've got most everything I know of that came out before.
