It was a misprint, I think all (most?) covers have #17 on them. I've yet to see a actual copy with #19 on it. |

People put books on here all the time for sale without accepting offers. They don't have to accept an offer. Some NEVER even RESPOND to offers. Some are just getting a feel for what interest there is for a book. Some just don't pay attention. Some like MOREDWHIT, only want to sell books in lots, he's a great seller, sells a lot of books, some people don't want to buy "lots" but you can't you can't complain about it. I think "ROCKYOURWORLD" is kinda like that, doesn't want to spend a lot of time dealing with "onesy, twosy" deals. I've dealt with him and have got REALLY, really good "package" deals. He's never "scammed" me. You probably shouldn't bad mouth people about how they sell their books unless they actually rip you off by selling bad books or by stealing your money. Remember, any fair price is one both parties agree to. ......................Just my two cents |

Wasn't it only a week, or at the very most two weeks ago, that this comic book came out and now it is at $30 according to our price guide. Took people by surprise. I think I read something where Marvel Comics had intended the plot line to play out longer before they introduced this new character, but somehow at the last minute they switched it up and that is what caused people to under order or not buy it at all.
Their selling consistently for $50, even as high as $110 !...............and yes two weeks ago you could pick them up for under $10 CRAZY HUH?!!! edited by rixmaxx on 8/29/2017 |

To find, search "A-1" or A, space, 1, that is 3 characters either way and list your search alphabetically, not by popularity. Hope this helps edited by rixmaxx on 9/4/2017 |

To be honest, I do not rely on grading prices, and I collect books, not for investment but because I enjoy them. Yes, I did and still do buy multiple copies if I feel the art or the story is fantastic. Sometimes if it is an independent company that I know only has a small print run and very rare with a good story or art, I would support them by buying multiple copies.
Now for grading, I do not rely on other as in GCC since I have noticed on some of their gradings I do not always agree with. And at shows, the problem is too many people open a sealed copy and put their fingers on it, and the grad can change automatically if they don't purchase it and put it back.
I find the Price Guide focuses on the wrong things, for example, a mainstream company that has a print run of over 300,000 copies and then sells because of a demand went from $2 to $800, but a comic that came out at the same time that only has less then 3,000 print goes from $2 to $3. Sorry in my book "demand" or "NOT', that lower print run is worth $100.
But how is it "worth" $100 if nobody wants it?

Just saw that our site here has moved the price to $60 for this book, but while I was looking at the Lyria Exchange which follows bids on eBay, someone bought this book for $180 at a 9.8.
All new books fall in the 9.2 - 9.8 category, there's always someone silly enough to spend way too much for a new book. It's an exception, not the "norm". I have a couple left myself but I plan on keeping them. There are ALOT of these books being sold right now, I've been watching, mostly going for the $40 - $60 range. It's a very interesting storyline. A lot of "speculators" bought multiple copies of this book (5-10) which led to the current craziness, low supply, large demand. Like others before it, the prices will cool off at some point |

Monthly pricing updates for multiple items, were the norm a couple years ago. Possibly they're of no interest to yourself, but I found them to be very helpful. Now located in downtown Indianapolis, ComicsPriceGuide.com is comprised of a team of passionate comic book enthusiasts, who are just as passionate about technology. Started in 1995 as a tribute to the memory of Tim Beck, a close childhood friend of founder Bryan Neely, who unfortunately passed away from complications due to leukemia at the age of 25. From the early days of their friendship, they were both focused on the world of comic reading and collecting. Their entire world revolved around this hobby. It didn't stop even while Bryan was going to college. At Ball State university, Bryan created the very first percursor of ComicsPriceGuide.com. Initially it was named MarvelWorld and featured only data and related information exclusively on Marvel Comics. Fast-forward 18 years and ComicsPriceGuide.com has become the world's largest and most accurate online community for obtaining comic book value information. In addition to serving over 700,000 users value data, our message boards and blogs have become the go-to-source and authority for connecting comic book enthusiasts. Our values remain simple, but our technology is not. Using a proprietary value algorithm, paired with dedicated comic enthusiasts, we are able to preserve real sales data to get up-to-the minute comic book value information.

Crowman, What does CGC have over CBCS? I'm just wondering, I haven't sent anything for grading yet, but I do have a few I want graded and encased, and signature verified. Just want to know what the difference is? Thanks
Nothing really, just length of time in business but the top grader, Steve Borock, who help start CGC is the guy who started & runs CBCS. CBCS is also a little cheaper. jmo I'd go with CBCS |
