 I was processing a variant submission and noticed it was already in the database, but hard to identify because the scan is rotated 90 Degrees. Issue located at: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/death-of-doctor-strange/1F/phtqlws

- There are currently two issues designated 2B. Can you please move the Columbia Pictures Variant to 54C

-The cover is incorrect. It can be replaced with the attached version

- Please correct the spelling of Columbia in the Quick Comment, actually change it to "Sony-Columbia Pictures International Edition"


I'll add the newly discovered Columbia Tristar Edition when the variant lettering is sorted.

Yes, I like that one for arcs. Here are some others I currently use:

1) My top site for Marvel arcs is Unofficial Handbook of Marvel Creators. ( http://www.maelmill-insi.de/UHBMCC/index.htm )

It isn't pretty, but in this case, I prefer to function as the depth of which arcs are designated is impressive. As you research books, if they are part of an arc, it is highlighted with the name of the arc. Clicking the hyperlink will bring you to that full arc, a reading order, compilations of the arc, and links to each books for details.


If you want to just start with an Arc, you can easily use the StoryArc search option from the left sidebar:



They have just about every Marvel story arc I've wanted to find. The downside is I haven't found a synopsis for their arcs.



2) wikipedia.org : you'd be surprised how many of the arcs are found here. The downside is there rarely is a concise synopsis

3) comicvine.gamespot.com : they have had a recent push to populate story arcs and descriptions but sometimes they are too concise

4) all the fandom sites : the architecture of their arcs is pretty confusing to me, but their content is improving.

ROM #1 Annual ( https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/rom/1/pjvy ) needs some corrections:

  • The Base Edition should be the Newsstand Edition and has the wrong scan. Please replace the scan with the attachment titled: “RomA1ns”. It is the Newsstand Edition Scan

  • Oddly there is a 1A variant designation, which should be 1B and the Direct edition. The Direct scan is attached; titled “RomA1dir”

  • The Canadian Edition issue labeled 1B should be 1C and should be all set. If something happens in the correction and the scan is lost, I’ve attached “RomA1can” for the Canadian price variant.

Here is an easy way to help speed up the addition of a missing issue (not variant) for an existing title. In this case, navigate to the title using the link you provided. On the right side of the screen, under your toolbox, is a link for reporting a Missing Issue:


From there, you can fill out the quick form (similar to a Variant Submission) to add it to a queue that a bunch of folks are able to verify. The more info is given, and a good scan, the quicker it will be verified. The good news is that there are only *3* issues in this queue. This compares to the over 300 in the variant queue. So, you likely would see verification in a day, maybe 2. Once verified, you can submit variants at will. Many will add variants as they verify the main title.



Vampirella LOVES their variants. I do have to say I like the TNMT homage cover for this issue.

 That isnt a typical comic UPC code on the back. I knocked it down to just the ISBN-13 for the issue: 978-1617240096 and it was accepted. If the issue/title needs to be shifted to one that has ISSBN designation, rather than UPC, I think Gil or Ron will have to adjust.

I also put the cover B ISBN=13 on that variant and added a scan.
