they're under Vol 1 of the Shadowhawk title, which is how most ashcans are listed here. There's an Ashcan tab above the issue list.
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/shadowhawk/shsp

these them?
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/shadowhawk/0B_ashcan/rippcx
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/shadowhawk/0C_ashcan/ripsjq

for future reference: Annuals, Specials, hardcovers, trade paperbacks, ashcans, Free Comic Book Day/FCBD for regular series are usually not listed separately, but sometimes are, so mostly they're under the regular series name, click that, then click the appropriate tabs to see those issues.

uh, no you can't, unless you're the one who submitted it, and I'm not sure if that's doable either, not having had to fool with it. if there's a number there, right or wrong, then there's no 'add' button below it to change it, at least for me.

and jarvrek, always post a url to the issue, it makes it easier on admins etc to get to it faster. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/thor/11D/phrpivs

you can submit it yourself, it's quicker.
Use the "Report Missing Variant" function found in the listings for individual books. You must be logged in to do this.
  • Navigate to the specific book that is missing a variant. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/super-soldier/1/pirqnt
  • Select the 'Variants' tab found next to 'Values'.
  • You should see a red box titled "Report Missing Variants" on the right side below any listed variants.
  • Clicking the box will bring up a page where you can enter information specific to the variant you are reporting (not all is required). This includes what it's called, price, artist, publication date, etc. This makes it much faster for the admins to process the request.
See this post for how to check on variants you've submitted: https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic15583-new-feature-related-to-variants.aspx

What are people looking for?

collectibleshop
collectibleshop
two things, from someone who's been here a long time, although I haven't tried contacting want list people for quite a while...

1) Many or most of those 61 people are probably not active members any more, or at least don't check the site all that often for books they want.
2) YOU have to go after THEM, that's how most want lists work. Try contacting a few through their profile page and see if anyone bites. It may get frustrating not hearing back, so either keep going down the list or not, up to you. You're not doing anything wrong really, but the point of want lists is so buyers don't have to constantly do searches trying to see if anyone has what they want, and many people have LONG want lists, so they just sit and wait for sellers to get in touch.

So good luck, but it'll be up to you to do the contacting.

Feature request - Sales and want lists addition

collectibleshop
collectibleshop
I've made suggestions for a dedicated want list page for years, like the old Wizardworld site had 2 decades ago, which was very handy. They had the alphabet across the top, like CPG does with Publisher titles lists, and also a much better search function that allowed you to look for multiple issues of the same title on 1 search, as well as just the title. Results linked to the buyers want listings, which linked to their contact info. So you could chose to see all the 'A' titles with wants, then pick a title a see ALL the issues wanted, and then go see ALL the wanted issues by that buyer. And I think it had a 'new listings' feature too, so you could just hit that after you went thru all the alphabet the 1st time.

"can we get the "issue is wanted by" tab added to our active sales listings along with being on the page for each individual issue. That would certainly make things far, far easier for sellers." That would help a lot too, and may be quicker to implement, but it doesn't help people who may have stuff for sale but it's not listed here for whatever reason, so they still have to search individual issues. So if the Wanted database could be culled together and have it's own page(s) for everyone to see/use, that would make it easier for people to sell here, if the buyers ever reply, or are still active, which is a big problem too.

Them's my .14 cents (adjusted for inflation, probably not enough)

looks like this is it: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/hicksville/1_trade%20paper%20back/xmqylr
cpg has it as 2001 tho. You need to search with the All Countries or Canada choice in the drop down menu. The search results note that when you get no results: "Your search returned 0 results. Try using some of our search suggestions below to improve your results.

No results? Try these tips:
Are you looking at the right country? Try changing the search to "All Countries". Your search may have been published outside the USA."

so there ya go. and see this thread for my search tips (4th post down): https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic12110-evil-ernie-youth-gone-wild-directors-cut.aspx

Strange Tales 169

did you see the guy on here who claims to have 2 for sale at the bottom of the page for 169? 9.0 for $250:
https://comicspriceguide.com/sales/loganyon/strange-tales/169/pnupjwt

don't know nuthin' about him, just pointing it out. there's several CGC'd copies on ComicLink's current auction ending on 4-9, from a 4.5 to 6.5, and one in 9.2 starting on 4-15. dunno if you're interested in graded ones tho. ones I found on a google search were mostly all sold out from various comic shops, but I only looked at a few pages of results, with ebay and price guide and pic sites filtered out, but they turn up all the time I'm sure. didn't check the usual aggregate seller sites that I'm not sure I can mention here. the CGC forums can no doubt turn up 1 for you in short order usually, raw or graded, or there may be 1 or more on their marketplace forums now, haven't looked.

I used to own it, but sold it long ago, took a while to sell it back then too, very surprised at CPG's 9.4 price now. oh well..

here's a google search tip to filter out sites you don't want results from if you don't know this: use "-site: " and the site url after the colon, no space (without the quotes), and if you put an asterisk after the "." in the url, it will filter out the other countries that site also uses. example: -site:ebay.* will filter out ebay and all the country specific urls too. no need for www either, or http stuff. you can list multiple sites at once, but they do have a cut-off at a certain number. if they only have 1 .com or .net etc site, use the whole url, like -site:example.com. it really helps cut down the results you DON'T want to see. good luck on the hunt.

Early Marvel Directs Listed as Whitmans

collectibleshop
collectibleshop
Yes, they are Whitmans, likely distributed in polybags. Blank UPC boxes and the diamond price box are standard Whitman signs of that era. comics.org also calls them Whitmans: https://www.comics.org/issue/930737/cover/4/

these have been noted as Whitmans by everyone forever now. If you look under Whitman as a publisher you'll find tons of titles just like this from other publishers that whitman reprinted or distributed under their logo, especially Gold Key titles. So CPG lists them as Whitmans/Alternate Publishers depending on which way you find them. Fact of life here.

uh, do you not understand you're ON a COMICS PRICE GUIDE site? There's a 'Search Comics' bar on the forum pages and the main site pages. Look them up here, and then take it with a grain of salt, look at the bottom of the issue's pages and see people that have them for sale and their prices, and then check SOLD prices on that auction site for comparison. The 1st volume of TMNT can be worth some serious bucks (from Mirage Studios: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles/yitu ), and it HUGELY depends on condition. Good luck with them.

it's called just Star Trekker, not Star Trekker 2, so if you put Star Trekker 2 in the title field it won't be found, so maybe that's the problem? both are listed:

https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/star-trekker/sjxtn Our listing is an amalgamation of two different titles:
1) a single issue title from 1991 https://www.comics.org/issue/91580/
2) a two issue title from 1992 https://www.comics.org/series/23598/

mycomicshop lists the 1992 issues as just 'Star Trekker' too, and that's all the cover title says on both, no '2' or II. They have a pic of #1 too. they also note the 1991 issue as a trade paperback as it's 160 pages, so CPG might want to add that info, even tho it was pulled from distribution. So the 1991 is a TPB, and the 1992 are the 'series' such as it were.

Info from startrekcomics.info:
1991 Star Trekker, Antarctic Press
Collection of stories originally published in Japanese fanzines. Trade pb, translated from Japanese, 166pp, b&w

The 1992's they call Star Trekker II also:
#1 Nov 1992 Star Trekker II, Antarctic Press
"The naked time-and-a-half" has 30 pages of story, one page of sketches, and has a cardstock cover with gold foil lettering. According to the indicia, 8000 copies were printed by Antarctic Press. Distribution of Lana's comics in the US was stopped due to pressure from Paramount. b&w

#2 Dec 1992 Star Trekker II, Antarctic Press
"In Search of Humor" contains the story "Well, of course she's an idol singer", 18 pages, "Meet the crew of the Constellation 2", 4 pages of sketches, and what looks like b&w cover art from the two-volume Japanese collection, Star Trek: The Manga Parody. The indicia indicates that 3000 copies were printed. b&w
-----------------------------------------------------------
I think CPG's listing is just fine as Star Trekker.

Marvel UK Nikki Doyle Wild Thing is not coming up

Marvel UK titles are under UK in the country drop down menu on the search form. also try using fewer keywords. CPG has the title as just Wild Thing. It's here:
https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/wild-thing/roxx

when you get no results, there's a blurb below that that gives you tips, the 1st one says: "No results? Try these tips:
Are you looking at the right country? Try changing the search to "All Countries". Your search may have been published outside the USA."

When/if that doesn't help, then cut down the keywords, and that usually will find what you're looking for. See this thread for my search tips (4th post down): https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic12110-evil-ernie-youth-gone-wild-directors-cut.aspx

When listing titles we go by the title listed in the indicia not the cover. The GCD follows this practice as well, while mycomicshop just lists what they think would be easiest to find in a search, so I suspect the title of the 2 issue series should be Star Trekker II. Can someone who has one of these issues confirm this by looking at the indicia?

Did some searching and found indicia pics of both 1992 issues on ebay, so attached those. cropped #1's down to the indicia, so that's as big as I can get without artificially enlarging it which makes it fuzzy.

Now, the confusing thing is, #1's indicia and inside 1st page header says Star Trekker 2, while #2's says just Star Trekker, No. 2. So even they couldn't make up their mind what to call them.

to verify the pics, #1's is item # 373212543454

#2: item # 294104866144

Prices are all over the place, see none on the sold listings. So there ya go, another tree-fiddy in the bucket.

Dc graphic novel collection

always attach pics or links to pics if you can, state the year produced, mention if in english etc, it makes stuff easier to find. While Eaglemoss may be a UK publisher, these are all German language text according to comics.org listings. Don't see these on CPG, but are these them on comics.org?:
JLA: https://www.comics.org/issue/1548057/
Plastic Man: https://www.comics.org/issue/1548085/
Batman: https://www.comics.org/issue/1548083/
Superman: https://www.comics.org/issue/1548080/

main Eaglemoss page there for these particular books and many others: (they have lots more than CPG lists): https://www.comics.org/publisher/8937/

If CPG deems them worthy and they have at least 50% actual comic story content (comics.org says they vary from 50-75%, and most came with trading cards or lead figures), they can use that info and add them if they can also find any sales pricing on them.

if you're looking for the US equivalents, the ones that reprint story arcs will be under the main comic titles for that era, under the trade paperback tab. Like Plastic Man is under that tab for the 2003-2006, 2020 Vol 3 series, https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/plastic-man/pbrrj . Others that are new story graphic novels will be under their name, or maybe under DC Graphic Novels, I didn't check them all out. If you already know that, ok, just covering the bases.

Good luck folks....
