CPG has listed this (The Jam Urban Adventure) series by Slave Labor and Dark Horse, but there was a "The Jam Urban Adventure" 5 issue mini series in 1992 Published by Tundra Publishing. It was all still done by Bernie Mireault, creator/artist of the other series.

Need Aircel and Adventure Comics artist added

I've been waiting nearly a year for some artists and writers to be added to the site so I can complete the database for some Aircel and Adventure Comics titles. They were all "added to the queue" to be verified and I would like to get this done.

The creators in question are:
Peter Hsu
Kent Burles
Jim Somerville
Charles DeLint
Dave Cooper

Canadian price variants

It's been a great growing question I've noticed over the past few years (and I love the link kds_comics gave. Lots of great info there) but there is a fact that never gets mentioned: Here in Canada they are almost as easay to find, in most cases, as the U.S. version. I mean, they are the ones that got sent here. You want to score some great Canadian price variants? Check out the bins in Canadian comics stores. The supply is drying up as we keep sending them south and they will run out eventually....

This being said, this does not mean they are all in high grade. All the comics get just as abused by readers here as anywhere else.

Thanks! I didn't try that as the other series DID have "the" in front. I'll be sure to try both now.
Cheers.

Found it. Like a lot of things on the site in can take a bit of work. It's under the Amazing Spider-man title for 2013 (volume 3 it says) and then under the tab for the title listing "GIant SIze".

Artist name incorrect spelling on site

I was just going to input some more artist data (I'd like to finish all the Aircel stuff, but have been waiting nearly a year for the artists to be approved.....) and noticed that I couldn't find John Totleben for the Swamp Thing issues I was entering. I then saw him listed under another one, but spelled Tottleben. This is incorrect, his name has one 't'. You can just check all the Swamp Thing covers with his name listed.

Moebius / Jean Giraud not on site Artist list...

Ok, this astounds me. I was trying to add some info for a Heavy Metal special I picked up and found that Moebius is not on the list. In case it was under his real name, Jean Giraud I tried that, but nothing! I realize some things take a while to get done, but this is a no-brainer. How did this get missed for so long? Or has it been waiting on a list somewhere....

Why are some title's values so grossly overvalued?

iron_puppy

I agree with all that, but it goes the other way too. Small print stuff, independants and some older stuff (thinking Canadian Whites comics in particular) are listed well below what they get when they manage to make in onto the market.

All CGC stuff tends to be inflated from 9.6 up. I ignore that price on the site.

Bell Features listed as Canadian and American

iron_puppy
iron_puppy
I was just looking around on the site to get a feel for the new layout and discovered my Triumph Comics #12 by Bell Features is now listed as American when you click on the issue. I clicked on the issue as it said I have Zero copies but i Knew it was input years ago. Yes, when I go to my collection it is still there. I opened a few other Bell Features titles and found some say Canadian and others say American. They should all be Canadian as it was a Toronto, Ontario based company that did many original books as well as US reprints here during WWII. It was correct before the site change and I'm not sure how this happened but wanted to point it out.

Vampirella #113 listed twice for different values

iron_puppy
iron_puppy
I just noticed that Vampirella 113, the first issue by Harris comics, is listed two times with two difference prices (VERY different). The one listing gives the Warren publication dates and says this is the last first Harris issue (which is correct, but the year is wrong), and the other gives a publication date of 1988 (Which is closer. I checked on line and that say it was listed for a month in 1987) and that "the previous issue was by Warren", which is correct.

Warren stopped published Vampirella in 1983 and it was years before Harris published their issue. Please remove one of the listings and correct the other. The prices listed are also interesting as they are differing by over $200 dollars.

Missing: New Mutants vol I #21 Direct variant

iron_puppy
iron_puppy
CPG has #21 listed, but only the regular price version. The Direct Edition had the price hand-written by Bill Sienkiewicz over the boxed one. As it makes the cover appear different it should have it's own listing, even without the whole Direct/not Direct thing. I don't have time to take the picture right now, but with the movie coming out I (or someone else) can add it later.

Yes, you are correct, I got the description backwards. It is the Newsstand that has the hand-written price. Much more fun than the usual newsstand variation.

It does seem to be an oddity. I tried a few searches with a few descriptions and it doesn't come up. In future though, it would help if you gave the title and some description in your message. Not everyone will be curious enough to open your link to see what it is.

The title is listed, but it only has the first two issues. I just bought #17 and it has the covers pictures for all previous issues, so there are a few missing in the CPG.

I don't know if there really is a Harbinger 1A for the 1992 series, but the picture listed for it is the TPB cover vol I. You can tell by the title in red "Children on the Eighth Day" and the $9.95 cover price.

Price changes that you think need to be made

Hello again Ronbatman! One that I think should be watched (prices have always been higher than listed, but with movie rumors it's been on the market a lot more so prices are very plentiful) is Captain Atom #83, first Ted Kord Blue Beetle. I'm attaching a link to show current sales range from a 3.0 at $68 to a CGC 8.0 at over $400. Both prices well over CPG listings.

Ok, I'm back about Captain Atom #83. I noticed a ComicLink auction just ended (March 6) for a CGC 9.4 and the price was moving the book up there. I have attached a link for you to see for yourself, but on the CPG site, even with the update, a 9.4 is $876, but the one for auction, get this, went for $1912.00. Glad I got my copy when I did... (not a 9.4 but I'm happy)
