Vampirella Mystery? Hari Kari Signed
collectibleshop
|
Found both, but CPG doesn't list SIGNED comics, so they have the regular #0 of Hari Kari, which the full title of is Hari Kari Silence of Evil #0. Really helps when you give the full title. it's here, 2 versions listed: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/hari-kari-silence-of-evil/pbsxi
Vampirella is Vampirella Intimate Visions #1B Virgin cover (virgin cover means no logo/text, just artwork.): https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/vampirella-intimate-visions/1B/tkttmr
I found that by seeing 'Jusko' on the cover, he's the artist, so I looked on that auction site for 'vampirella jusko' and found it (he's done a lot of vampi covers). But, you can open the cover and see what the indicia says on the 1st page (sometimes it's in the back tho) and get the title there. You can open it carefully and not hurt it.
Since you're new to comics and this site, see this thread for my search tips (4th post down): https://comicspriceguide.com/forum/topic12110-evil-ernie-youth-gone-wild-directors-cut.aspx
https://comicspriceguide.com/faqs for a few How To answers about submitting missing images and reporting missing issues etc.
Watch CPG's 'How To' youtube videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3eOHtGDGIs2A7_jQdSV_ZuYxTmGfs1W1
The guide here has some peculiarities that can make finding things hard sometimes, and sometimes even they misspell a title, but that's what the forums are for, and there's multiple people here that can usually find stuff when you can't. The resource sites listed in my Tips post will help a lot too. Google and comics.org being the best two.

Wrong book info for marvel presents #96

you've posted 2 different titles between the subject line and body, but only MCP has a #96. I did google and other comic database searches, and the vast majority of databases say it's Feb 1992, like CPG has it. Comics.org says 1991 but no month, and they're not always right either. marvel.com has it as Jan 1 1991 PUBLISHED date, but when you click 'next issue' it has ALL them as Jan 1991, so clearly that's wrong all the way around. the marvel wiki says Feb 1992.
going back a few issues on comics.org, they have #92's "on sale date" as OCT 29, 1991, so the PUBLISHING date would be later, but those were put out bi-weekly and comics.org doesn't have on sale dates for the next few issues, so hard to tell if their info is correct or would match up for following issues. mycomicshop has #90, 91 and 92 as published Dec 1991 (possible, given that some months can have 5 'weeks' for printing dates), #93 & 94 as Jan 1992, and Feb 1992 for #95 and 96, which would make sense. they're usually right, but not 100% of the time.
so going by the previous issues dates, 1992 appears correct, so what makes you think it's 1991? does it say that inside? while not impossible, it's hard to believe so many sites would have it wrong after 28 years, don'tcha think? it may have come OUT in Dec 1991, but the publishing date that CPG goes by would be 1992. edited by collectibleshop on 8/31/2020 |

these are FLIP COVER books. turn it over, and boom, there's the cover CPG uses. each side has a different cover and character(s) story, and the title is just Marvel Comics Presents, everything after that is just characters involved in the stories. You have Marvel Presents in your subject line, and that's a different title, but you have it correct in the body. CPG only chooses to show 1 cover of these flip cover comics for the most part.
I forgot own it too, so checked the indicia and it does indeed say Vol.1 #96 1991 (no month stated), so note to CPG if they want to amend the year, but nearly everyone else is using Feb 1992 for the 'cover' date/year even tho there's no month on the cover. might have been printed at the end of Dec 1991 so Marvel went by that for the indicia. so you're half right edited by collectibleshop on 9/1/2020 |

Hi, that's not normal publisher packaging, it's just a regular comic bag, so my guess is a shop/dealer packed them that way to sell at a discount. you won't hurt anything by taking them out. the 'reverse' packing is common for multiple issues as they fit better with half the spines on each side, I do that with runs in magazine bags. helps get more in, and keep curling of the spines down.
and you can edit your posts. you can fix the 2nd one now, since the pics did attach, and delete the 3rd one since it's unnecessary. saves a bit of space and reading The 1500kb limit is actually quite large if you don't attach unedited full size phone pics, which are typically way larger than anyone needs them to be. I have 600x850px or so comic book pics on my site that are usually well under 200kb, for example, so just reduce the physical size, and run them thru a pic compressing site like tinypng.com, it's free, quick, nothing to download or sign up for, used it for years. |

I am new to trying to sell my comics. I was wondering if and when you sell your comics on ebay, are you going to pay government tax? What about to ebay itself?
why not look that up on ebay? they have all the convoluted info, start here: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/taxes-import-charges?id=4121 you don't pay taxes TO ebay, you just pay listing and commission fees which they deduct from the selling prices, INCLUDING on shipping charges. after that it depends on how much you sell ($ amount and number of sales) before they send a 1099 or whatever form to the guvment for INCOME taxes, and SALES taxes are another matter depending on which state you're in. they cover all that stuff, have fun. |

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #112 wrong date

according to the issues around it, and mycomicshop, this should be dated Feb 1999, not Dec. 1998, which is what #110 is at MCS and GCD. 111 is Jan, so 112 should be Feb. I also submitted the dates and cover prices for the remaining issues, so it can get finished. edited by collectibleshop on 9/13/2020 |

Man of Steel (1986) mini series prices

Overstreet is way overpriced on that series, has been for decades. The 2020 50th edition is just out, have you looked at it? I haven't. But a quick check on that auction site shows full NM sets of all 6 and 7 SOLD for under $5 to $10, some at $15-20 (which may include shipping), and one probably fake outlier at B.O. under $49.95, not signed or anything, no reason for that.
these have not been worth anything for a LONG time, so why would they be now? There's a new Superman & Lois TV series coming, but that shouldn't affect this series much. they printed TONS of these, the silver title variant isn't remotely scarce, so CPG is closer to reality than Overstreet on this. Both guides have wide variations on new and old comics, so you can't fully rely on either without doing some other internet pricing research.
3 CPG members have NM copies of the 1A variant for sale from $1.25 to $2, 1 at $5, and there they sit. Just sayin'. edited by collectibleshop on 9/14/2020 |

I don't see them under the current 2011 IDW series Variants tab, or using SDCC on the search. publisher's page for pics/info: https://planetawesomecollectibles.com/products/coming-soon-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-1-bosslogic-variants
It's faster if you submit them yourself. save a GOOD cropped-to-the-edges pic with no watermark to your computer/phone first. then go to the page that issue should be on, https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles/1/yiuqhr , click on the Variants tab, click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button in lower right after the other covers, and fill in the info boxes as best you can, and upload the pics from your computer/phone, and they'll get to it when they get to it. edited by collectibleshop on 9/15/2020 |

flip covers aren't variants, it's the same issue. CPG doesn't show both covers, so they may not pick the one you're looking at (do people not turn them over to see the other cover lately?) but they have enough to keep track of without adding all the flip cover covers too. auction sellers that may list them as a variant cover are just keyword spamming to get search hits. |

thanks Ron, good to know for future posters. There's a lot of flip cover comics, so figured that would take too much time to add along with all the regular stuff and newsstand cover work etc.. 1988 Marvel Comics Presents has 175 issues alone. I thought maybe comics.org would show both, but they don't either, but they may show different flip covers than CPG does, so possibly pics could be scarfed there. more fun for you guys... |
