here's all the editions of it: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/classics-illustrated-54--man-in-the-iron-mask/pnvul
what's odd is that when you search just for Classics Illustrated #54 you only get the study guide issue, but if you add 'The Man in the Iron Mask' it comes up. makes no sense, so maybe an admin can correct that. Normally I say try using fewer keywords, but in this case more keywords was better. you can also search by publisher, in this case Gilberton, and go to the C titles under that and find their Classics ILL's that way too.
and for future reference, please don't make single posts for single issues, you can put them all in 1 post, 'k? edited by collectibleshop on 7/19/2020 |

It's under Classic Comics: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/classic-comics-7---robin-hood/pnwxj note the note: "All editions after 3/1947 titled 'Classics Illustrated', but it doesn't come up if you use Classics Illustrated with or without Robin Hood for some reason. lots of weird problems with this series, as many are under just Classics Comics but were changed to Classics Illustrated in later reprints, but not cross-referenced in the database apparently? edited by collectibleshop on 7/19/2020 |

apparently not on here. the proper way to report missing issues is by what the Guidelines post says, so here's the info for CPG:
Title: Washmen Missing Issues: 1 Country: USA Publisher: New York Comics Publication Years: 1986 Cover Price: $1.70

not thru CPG's messaging system. if you're a paying member you can add your own scan to your listing and send buyers a link to it (if they haven't found it on their own), or host the pic somewhere online and send them the link to that. or ask for an actual email address and send it thru normal email. |

for you, no charge this time, it only took 1 search to find it on the bay. odd that CPG only has the newsstand version UPC, same at comics.org, usually it's the reverse. |

I guess you're talking about the 2000 one shot of the movie?
I've seen impressive numbers for gem mint copies, which I would assume they would be. Where did you see those numbers? CPG has their guess for graded 9.8's at $67.50 (take that with a bucket of salt tho). I see no graded ones for sale or on closed auctions on that auction site at the moment, that aren't signed at least. CGC's census says the highest grade of all the editions is 9.8 so far, so even tho not a ton have been graded, chances of a 9.9 or 10 from 2000 would be very low. Bags can hide little defects, so you can't assume anything just cuz they're bagged and have been stored untouched.
My question is would it make more since to send them to CGC and have them graded where they would be opened and inspected (I assume)? Or would they be more valuable from a collectors standpoint as is, sealed and untouched? CGC will open them and toss the bags, and they'd prefer you remove the bags before sending them, saves them time, handling problems, and disposal. If they get 9.8 or better, they'd be more valuable than in raw, but up to you to decide if it's worth the expense with shipping both ways (return shipping by UPS is $14 for the 1st book and $2 per book after that, and registered mail will start at $30), grading cost ($20 ea. +$5 invoice). Of course sending in more than 2 comics cuts the cost per book down, or if you have a CGC dealer store near you that would ship them a load, that would cut some $ per book off too Unless you can find some sold prices for graded ones to go by, and have a good grasp of grading 9.8s, I'd pass on getting them graded for now. edited by collectibleshop on 7/24/2020 |

doesn't appear to be here. It's faster if you submit it yourself. save a GOOD cropped-to-the-edges pic with no watermark to your computer/phone first. then go to the page that issue should be on, click on the Variants tab, click on the red 'Report Missing Variant' button in lower right after the other covers, and fill in the info boxes as best you can, and upload the pic from your computer/phone, and they'll get to it when they get to it.
and your link to imgur doesn't work of course (blocked, requires login to see content), wish people would learn that. photobucket links don't work most times either. edited by collectibleshop on 7/24/2020 |

boom: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/vampirella/7/popucq The title is just Vampirella. Queen's Gambit is the story. Vol. 3 1997 series, #7-9. mycomicshop calls it Vampirella Monthly tho. It does have #7 on it, so if you checked the 1997 series you'd find it. |

Clive Barker's Night Breed, Blackmask misspelled
collectibleshop

admin alert--according to comics.org, marvel.fandom, comicvine, mycomicshop, etc., CPG has misspelled the 1993 series CLIVE BARKERS NIGHTBREED in 2 ways. it should be Clive Barker's Night Breed. so add that apostrophe and make Night Breed 2 words. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/clive-barkers-nightbreed/rkup he does have other books with it as Nightbreed, so best to have both cross-referenced in the keyword database.
and the 1993 Blackmask mini-series is one word, not 2, according to multiple sources and what's on the cover. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/black-mask/rbu edited by collectibleshop on 7/31/2020 |

gonna need more info from the inside of the comic, like cover artist, as it's not listed here. I don't find that cover anywhere on any of the major sellers or database sites I've tried, or google images, or image's own site etc., everyone has just the A-D covers and 2nd print, so no idea what yours is. Is it possible they did a flip cover version and that's the 'back' cover of 1 of the variants? |

does the INSIDE have any info in the indicia? the back cover credits may only be for the interior art since that artist did all of them, and I can't tell if the same artist did the cover. every place else says cover E is the 2nd print, but they show a different cover, so the inside will say if it's a 2nd print. can't read the small text on the back cover. the main places I checked also don't show that cover for a TPB. |

There is NO ONSIDE INDICIA, believe me, I looked!I went through the book 4 times, very carefully before leaving my last reply.By the way, thank you so much for taking your time to reply to me.Im not new at this, I’m almost 70 and been buying comics since they were 10 cents each!I remember being so ticked when they went to 12 cents; I used to get 25 cents a week allowance, and could buy 2 comics and a candy bar! Those were the days! I know this is an odd situation, as I’ve looked everywhere for any information and finally came to youse guys. Thanks for any update, as I can’t find anything, anywhere!
ok, wish you had said that in the previous post. That bottom paragraph on the back cover IS the indicia. I found a zoomable pic on another site, but the indicia and credits on the back don't help. did more searches, even for Adventures of Kate Shutter, and no luck on that cover.
You can try sending the pic or the UPC code numbers to someone at Image comics and see if they can tell you anything. I don't know why they don't show the variant covers there, they should. https://imagecomics.com/contact . don't see a way to attach a pic with their form, but you should be able to when/if they reply.
if they don't reply, you might be able to contact the artist via their own site if they have 1, or facebook etc, if you do that social media stuff (I don't).
and you can edit your posts to fix typos or add more to them, there's an edit button at the bottom of the post
good luck, maybe someone else here has this and will stumble on this post looking for the same info. edited by collectibleshop on 7/28/2020 |
