7/27/2024 Topic: Pooh vs Bambi cover scans collectibleshop	I reduced the size and attached the pics for cpg to use. and I just noticed that when we do a NEW post, the attachment link isn't there at all, but is (invisibly still) when you do an edit or reply. bug #75 to fix. so in the future you can just edit your initial post and attach pics to it instead of doing a new reply post. edited by collectibleshop on 7/27/2024

7/29/2024 Topic: Batman #150C Cover Artists collectibleshop	so after checking the other covers, the problem is the way DC listed the credits, and listed ALL the cover artists for all the variants, right? so if they did that on every variant, then it does make it look like they all, or some wrong ones, worked on all/each of the covers, which is wrong of course. is this something DC has been doing with the credits page lately? wrongly placed semi-colons or not, they shouldn't say X & Y are cover artists on an issue that they're not part of. if this is how they're doing it now, I expect a lot more submission mistakes.
7/29/2024 Topic: Missing: Dynabrite issue #11359 Bugs Bunny collectibleshop	Dynabrite comics have been asked about before, so a forum search for Dynabrite would have found you the answer (posted by moi no less), so a tip for the future. also, searching for just Dynabrite comes up with the series, which CPG calls Dynabrites with an S, so wondering if that's correct? seems to me that the cover titles of Dynabrites should come up on searches anyway, with Dynabrite as a 'type' of production ("10x7 1/8 size/Dell-GK Reprints/Blank inside cardboard cover"), so searching with All Types should still bring them up, but it doesn't. so something to consider for the database index, whenever all the new bugs get fixed of course. That would be like listing Marvel Treasury comics as just 'Treasuries' instead of Marvel Treasury Edition, right? comics.org lists them as Dynabrite Comics. 7/29/2024 Topic: Misclick on a Yup collectibleshop	I think you were right with it on the yup. it's the same cover as the regular #1, and Hollowell is credited as colorist on GCD on that, so he must also be the colorist for the PX one, despite someone missing using his "MO!" on the cover of that one. the league also says he was colorist on both, so just probably another Marvel mistake on the art they used. the forehead is still colored, so assume that was done by Hollowell on both. found 1 other dealer site that has him as cover artist, but GCD doesn't list the cover artists for this variant. BUT, argh, I accidentally noped the REGULAR #2 for that artist entry first, so crap, now that needs to be removed or overruled by more yups. wish Bneeley would get these glitches fixed, it's been couple a weeks now. and how is it that pghhead can upload pics, but most of us can't? edit: been verifying Marvel subs, and Glorkar, it appears you mis-clicked on the colorist for Weird Wonder Tales #21. GCD and others only have Diane Buscema as colorist on all the stories, and Holloway as just the letterer on one. so I noped that, so needs another nope from someone. edited by collectibleshop on 7/29/2024
7/30/2024 Topic: Misclick on a Yup collectibleshop	here's what I figure on the cover stuff... the PX variant was an earlier, obviously unfinished work that Marvel and Previews decided to publish, but the original hadn't been signed by Holloway yet because it wasn't finished. So when he finished the fully colored version he put his sig on it. but I don't know how they work things at marvel and how they decide what to do with what covers, but pretty sure Holloway colored the purple part on the PX one too. On other sites, I saw no diff in the color on that, but GCD's are a bit different shade, but likely die to scanner variation. I verified a bunch of stuff last night and today, so when someone else yups them, a bunch should disappear on the number count. may get to some more tonight, haven't decided yet. and I too check many variants when 1 is subbed and then add more covers or creators to the lists too, but that comes and goes with what I feel like at the time. you follow up with my cover artist subs a lot, adding the other creators, so that keeps you busy, so you're welcome . I tend to do the easy/quick stuff first, and maybe add more later, or leave that up to others. edited by collectibleshop on 7/30/2024

That would be Carlos Barberi and Israel Silva. mycomicshop has Barberi as cover artist, but oddly GCD and the league didn't bother to list the cover artists. e*y also has some, but the 1st google result for there had the wrong artist noted (Ramos). others probably had it right, didn't check them. edited by collectibleshop on 7/31/2024*
8/4/2024 Topic: Defenders, The 107 Vol.1 (Direct Edition Cover) collectibleshop	you're correct, and this is the place to report this. couple tips for the future: helps to post the CPG listing link: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/defenders-the/107B/phqpjwy . you can edit your posts instead of adding a new one for links etc. you can find ready-to-go pics on https://comics.org that you can copy and save, and attach to the post, as I've done for this one, instead of links to e*y, unless comics.org doesn't have them. leagueofcomicgeeks.com is another good source. the attach image button is invisible at the moment (glitch) but it's to the left of the Preview button at the bottom of the compose window, your cursor will find it, then click that space and the browse button etc will open. at least that still works. that way you get it all done in one post, helps speed things up for the admins. edited by collectibleshop on 8/4/2024*

8/6/2024 Topic: Planet of the Apes: Fall of Man Sampler artist collectibleshop	so on this Marvel creator submission by pittlw, he has E.M. Gist as cover artist, and glorkar noped it, and I yupped it. E.M. Gist's signature is on it, on the gray brick under the ape's left foot (when looking at it). for some reason neither GCD, mycomicshop or the league note Gist as cover artist either, just Cassara, but Gist signed it. other places like Goodreads credit Gist for the cover. It looks to be a painting too, so not sure Cassara had any part of it, and there's no JDC sig on it. I checked GCD to see if Cassara went by any other names, and nope, so dunno why everyone has him as cover artist and not Gist. Gist did other covers for various POTA comics and hardcovers too. and are admins able to delete mistake submissions like this at the moment, since we can't?

I tried again to submit them, but still getting the 'need to be silver/gold member or rank of 3 or more' message. yet a new member with a 2 rank is submitting pics the last few days for Adventure Time, so how is that? and there is no Silver membership, so why does that message have that?
8/7/2024 Topic: Planet of the Apes: Fall of Man Sampler artist collectibleshop	yeah, I figured it was more of a publisher mistake on the credits page. at the moment (for over 2 weeks now), you can't delete the submission as that function isn't working, so either it will be noped off, or an admin, if there's any left working, can maybe remove it. save these directions if they get it fixed: go to the https://comicspriceguide.com/verify-data page, under the appropriate tab, find the publisher name in the drop down menu, click that, and then find the title you want in the alphabet list, and then your submission, and you'll see a trashcan icon to the right of your entries that only you can use. Click that icon, then click Continue in the popup box. Then you can go to the issue's price guide listing and resubmit it. I usually open another tab and get the issue's CPG listing loaded up before I delete the sub, so then you don't have to do a title search again. Just reload the listing page so you can resubmit whatever needs it. edited by collectibleshop on 8/7/2024
8/7/2024 Topic: argh, more yupping mistakes collectibleshop	moved too quick and yupped instead of noped on Lightning Comics Presents #1 promotional comic. Paul Abrams was submitted with multiple artist credits, but he's not part of the issue, he did the #1 regular issue. So noped him for cover and interior artist and mistakenly hit yup for inker, so others can nope that too and get it dumped. Terral Lawrence is the cover and interior artist, David Mowry is the inker for cover and interior. I added both to the submissions. argh did it again! yupped instead of noped the cover artist sub for Piranha Press Beautiful Stories For Ugly Children #26. no one lists anyone but Dan Sweetman as cover artist for pencils, ink, colors. nothing about Bruning. Same with #13 and the Dean Motter sub, which is noped as it should be. gonna quit now before I screw up any more. edited by collectibleshop on 8/9/2024
8/7/2024 Topic: Planet of the Apes: Fall of Man Sampler artist collectibleshop	my guess is that the editor decided to switch covers at the last second, and the credits page was already done, and they missed fixing it. I'd think Gist would not be happy about that. Or Cassara too, cuz it's not his art. have not heard back from Casper about if admins can remove mistakes yet. would be nice if someone would update us on any progress on getting all the new glitches fixed. on the pic upload prob, pghhead said he uploads his own scanned covers via a macbook air, and he's been able to submit pics, so apple software apparently still works for that. hope the programmer isn't out sick or something. I'll have to slow down on my mouse movements/clicks to stop making verify mistakes, but hard habit to break.
8/7/2024 Topic: another pic upload oddity collectibleshop	so lately a few members have submitted cover pics, but only the Missing Scan placeholder shows on the verify data page. yet when you click on the issue, it has a pic already. so how is that happening? you can't submit a missing scan if there's already a pic, and these are not like newsstand variants either. latest example is phoenixbeth and the Crimes By Women covers (golden age). there's no covers missing, so why/how are any getting submitted? https://comicspriceguide.com/verify-data , Fox Feature Syndicate.
8/8/2024 Topic: Fantastic Four #188 Whitman variant collectibleshop	always helpful to post a link to the listing. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/fantastic-four/188/xhtxh I've attached a pic from comics.org (good site for you to bookmark for the future) for an admin to use, since us windows desktop users can't submit pics at the moment. the Report Missing Variant button isn't showing anyway. and so you know, there is a pic attachment link on the bottom of the compose window, but it's invisible at the moment (the moment being over 2 weeks now), but it's to the left of the 'preview' link, your cursor will find it. scans must be cropped to the edges, no waternarks or graded ones, .jpg, png type preferred. edited by collectibleshop on 8/8/2024
