He bought a lot of these years ago so he got them at good prices. I keep telling him to get them slabbed but he doesn't care since he doesn't plan on selling them. He has tons of other books but I decided to show the cream of the crop. He also is not a big DC fan. I like collecting both. |

Moon Knight #1 (80's) seems be have increased recently. NM copies were going for around $10 and are now up to $20.

I have seen increases of MOON KNIGHT for sure and #1 has long been in the $1 for what seems like forever. I am at a loss on the increase however, since I have heard nothing significant with the character as a whole. He can't seem to hold a series and is a character that seems to be in search of an identity. His appearances in MARVEL SPOTLIGHT also seem on the rise. I also know he had a solo run in the Marvel magazine sized MARVEL PREVIEW. I, for one, think his first appearance is WAY overpriced BUT people seem to be paying it. Even low grade copies are going for crazy money. |

$80 is not bad if they are nice high grade copies. Believe me the movies will go on forever and the more fans jump on those issues will only go up! |

Hey Oxbladder! Good to hear from you.
I have noticed an up tick on WONDER WOMAN. I think that with the announcement of her appearance in BATMAN v SUPERMAN things will start to heat up for her. I agree that her early appearances in comparison to the other heroes are harder to find.
The only reason I would see #105 as important is that it re-tells her origin for the silver age. It seems when a re-telling of a golden age hero in the silver age signals the start of that character in the silver age. |

Well, I am back from the DALLAS COMIC CON FAN DAYS.
What a disappointment. It is starting to become obvious that this becoming SAN DIEGO COMIC CON Wannabe. I talked to several comic retailers and they all said that comics are becoming less important. People are buying trinkets and autographs and fewer comics. That being said I found few dealers willing to lower prices. Perhaps that is why they were not selling.
Anyway, I did manage to pick up a few things. I was on the hunt for bargains and there were not that many to be truthful.

I picked these up. I finally found a great looking copy of GIANT SIZED CHILLERS #1. It was the last day and I picked this baby up for $10. I also picked up EMPIRE OF THE DEAD #1 as a speculation title for $15.

I totally agree! There are fewer and fewer comics dealers and the ones that are there charge way too much! Bargains are becoming harder and harder to find. |

Have not posted in awhile. Just came back from a show and picked up a few things.
I got his for about $150. I thought it to be in pretty decent shape over all and it fits with my ACTION 252.

I got these at $5 or less.
The SPIDEY with the first Silver Sable.
I already have the JIMMY OLSEN #134 but anytime I can get them cheap at a decent grade I do. I think this is a vastly under-valued book.
I got the FF #80 because it introduces Wyatt Wingfoot and I think Marvel may dig him up as they have very few Native American characters. Also I got it cheap at $2.
The Avengers I had but at $2 I had to get it since it introduces the SQUADRON SINISTER that would later become SQUADRON SUPREME.

I have a very high grade looking issue of DR.STRANGE #1. On the surface it looks NM but there is a staple pop at the top staple. Can anyone tell me how this effects value and grade? Thanks. |
