If you don't care about the value and the nostalgia factor is more important to you, then get it signed and don't worry about what it's worth. If I just want a reminder that I met someone famous, I'll have them sign something (anything). I've bought things from creators and specifically asked that they not sign the item. I bought some original art and the artist asked if I wanted him to sign it. I laughed and said "You drew the whole page, a signature isn't going to make it more personal than that."

The most valuable signatures are going to be the ones you get from creators that specifically don't sign their name for everyone that asks. Rob Liefeld's signature would be relatively common. Someone like Barry Windsor Smith would be more significant.

I say go for it. Make sure Rob signs it in some inconspicuous place and not right over the main artwork.

CBCS will verify the signature through a pretty cool process ( https://www.cbcscomics.com/vsp ) and give it a special "Verified Signature" case.
CGC doesn't do this.
