Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the last time Captain America appeared in comics before Avengers 4. How long was the character out of print or dormant before his Avengers #4 appearance?

Thanks!!

He was missing for 10 years before Avengers #4
Last appeared in Captain America Comics #76 (May 1954)

He is a chronological listing of the character http://comicbookdb.com/character_chron.php?ID=208

Hope that helped.

I'm still surprised Tex is a no show. A positive and fun loving person that everyone enjoyed hearing from him. David is missed.
Yes you are right, Mitz got his collection robbed before the site crash and faded away soon after posting the bad news. He had a good amount of Golden Age books, his 10 cent book finds were cool to hear about. To be honest if my collection was stolen, I'd be crushed and not sure I would want to continue collecting. Just think how much it would cost to re-buy books from his collection...

and special note for Strange Tales #114 (1963)... occurring between the last GA & 1st SA issues.
Cap is on the cover fighting the Human Torch (by Kirby & Ayers). But SPOILERS...

not really Cap...
the issue is dirt cheap compared to Avengers #4,

I'd start a petition to get Tex back. upset

Years ago I had an old comic store owner tell me to never make it public that you've got a valuable comic collection. (So if anyone asks, I've just got 5,000 copies of the entire NFL SuperPro run.)

Although some of my comics have noteworthy value, I think it would take me and a thief working together for a week to locate anything worth stealing. For some reason, if I'm looking for a comic, it's never where I remembered putting it.
