Hello,
My parents owned a comic shop when I was young and I am going through a storage locker with its contents. I ran across these and can't find any info on them. They are just the 4 covers of X-Men #1 (No Comic Books attached) and all 4 are signed by Jim Lee. They look like they might have been promotional items from Marvel given to the shops. Not Sure. Does anyone have any idea? I can't seem to figure out how to post a pic but I have them...

Thanks
Joe

Click the "full reply functions here" button and there's an option for uploading images there. Curious to see it!

Nice. I've never seen these before. Are you selling or saving them? Me, I'd safe one of them, the cover I like most and sell the rest. Not sure value but CBCS could slab them for you and confirm that he did indeed sign it so buyers are assured he signed.

Not that it is a full comic book that is signed, but only a cover I would just look up on eBay to see what comics that he signed and see what people are trying to sell for. Then find a happy medium price that you are happy with. If it doesn't sell with one price move it lower and see if anyone bites.
Really my thought is many sellers that sells books with signatures normally ask a crazy amount depending who signed the book. Some signatures, like yours are desirable since Lee has a good following. I'd look at eBay and use advance search and look up books that Lee signed and search for completed auctions to get a feel what his stuff sells.
Really you have a lot of options to get a idea of price. Just need to take some time looking. Looking what is in auctions currently with books he signed, I'd have a starting bid of $50 to start. Maybe that could get someone to bid. Nitch collectible really. Good luck.
