I agree with both of you. The more expensive the book the fewer buyers for sure.

I also believe general comic book values will continue to trend upwards over the long term. Comics are so hot right now that in the short term I believe values will eventually decline but long term they will trend up.

I told someone the other day that I would rather buy 1,000 dollar comics than 1 $1000 comic. I've only spent more than $100 on a single issue twice, and between $50-$100 10 times, but then that's just me. I'd like to pose a couple of general questions regarding the comic book market.

Are we at the upper echelon of comic prices regarding Golden age and Silver age comics or is there still room to go higher?

Are golden age and silver age comics (for the long term) going to increase in value? What I mean is that; is the general trend for gold and silver age comics (over several decades) an upward trend?

I'm interested in what the community thinks about the long term values of gold and silver age comics. I know over short term time frames comics will fluctuate in value. I'm asking about the long term.


I understand no one can predict the future. I'm just curious as to what the community thinks regarding long term values of gold and silver age comics.
