Does anyone know anything about these? I am sorting through my dad's comics (mostly from the mid-late 70's, the boxes worth he'd had from the 60's he traded for a bowling ball back in the day :-s) He has 2 that are about 10" by 13", one is the reprint of the first Superman issue from 1939, the other is the first Action Comics from 1938. They are in OK condition, I mainly can't figure out if they are a thing anyone particularly wants or if we should just keep them and read them. Thanks!
PS If there are any DC comics from that time frame I should be on the lookout for, please feel free to point them out, he has probably 600 altogether so it's a lot for me to go through ;-)

The Famous 1st Editions have some value since they are exact reprints of the originals, so they are good reader copies and their large size make them harder to store and therefore harder to find in high grade. As for the rest of the collection, searching is usually part of the fun. Lots of good stuff in every era.

Thanks so much CapnDoug. It has been pretty fun going through them all, so far I've mostly just bagged and sorted them, though I have been reading a few as I go. We're still not sure if we're going to sell them or keep them or what, but I see how people get into comics!
