The cover for Thor issue 445 has an interesting artist signature. And I'm really not sure who all are considered to be the contributing artists to the cover. It reads: "Ron (after Sal) & Milgrom". Okay, so Ron is Ron Frenz, and Milgrom is Al Milgrom. I'm assuming the Sal is Sal Buscema. Marvel's website doesn't have any info on the creators of this issue. And the Marvel Wiki doesn't list him as a cover artist. You know what the question is. Is Sal Buscema a cover artist for this issue? edited by erichey on 3/10/2016
Okay, I see now how having a Poll for this doesn't work. Wish I could remove it. (hangs head in embarrassment)

When an artist pays homage to another artist's work, they will usually sign the work "after X." In this case, Ron Frenz is paying homage to a cover that was originally done by Sal Buscema (not sure of the issue, though). The character poses are deliberately the same, that sort of thing. Artists do this all the time, taking an iconic cover and paying homage to it by copying it for their book (usually called a cover swipe).
Short answer: no. Sal Buscema was not an artist on the cover.
