Hi, I've noticed recently that how trade paper backs are categorized has become inconsistent. Namely, some are now being categorized as Soft Cover instead of Trade Paper Back. The most recent example I've found is for The Savage Sword of Conan, where collections #1 and #2 are listed under Trade Paper Back, but #3 is under Soft Cover. https://www.comicspriceguide.com/titles/the-savage-sword-of-conan/phvyot
Has there been a change in the definitions of trade paper back versus softcover?
Slightly related... I've also seen occurrences recently where TPB/HC collections have been filed under their own listing instead of under the main title. Here's an example for The Mummy, where the not only is the Hard Cover collection a separate listing, but both Hard Cover covers have their own listing. Main series: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/universal-monsters-the-mummy/pipulr HC 1: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/universal-monsters-the-mummy-direct-market-exclusive-david-talaski-cvr/piurip HC 2: https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/universal-monsters-the-mummy-faith-erin-hicks-lee-loughridge-cvr/piuris

Bump, and a new issue with the Savage Sword of Conan. This title is no longer under the correct publisher. It somehow was changed to United (UK), when it should be under Titan.

I think these are just mistakes. The Savage Sword #3 should be under the TPB tab like the other 2. The Universal Monsters H/Cs should be together under 1 title, since the only diff is the cover artist. I agree that if those are collected editions of the series they should be under a hardcover tab with the regular series, like the majority of others. And Conan should be under Titan like it was. GCD doesn't even list a United publisher in the UK by that single name, and has the title under Titan. and I assume that's what the indicia says? Up to an admin that has the authority to move them. edited by collectibleshop on 5/30/2026
