I am so sorry to hear that, not sure what I'd do if that happened to me.

I'm also on the west coast of Florida but, like CollectibleShop, I'm a little South of Tampa in the Sarasota area. We got lucky and didn't get it too badly except some places right on the water.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do, hope it works out.

sorry to hear you got hit that bad. I'm also on the west coast of FL, but south of Tampa, we didn't get it TOO bad, but the barrier islands and some places on the bays got storm surge damage.
as for deleting your collection, this is what an admin said in 2019, not sure if it's been improved or not (do a forum search, you can often find such answers):
"If you click on your user name in the upper right you'll see a dropdown.
In that dropdown click on "view collection"
https://comicspriceguide.com/collection/
To the left of each publisher is a red "x", click on that to delete everything in that publisher."
So you have to delete publisher by publisher. or you could cancel your membership and rejoin to start over.
good luck with whatever you decide to do.

edited by collectibleshop on 9/29/2024

As all of you are aware, Hurricane Helene has ravaged across the country spreading destruction along its path. I live on the west coast of Florida and got to experience storm surge of over 5 ft. After the water receded and I could return home, I bore witness to 90% of my comic collection decimated by the water. I find myself going from moments of disbelief to full on weeping over a collection that has been building for 40 years. Part of me wants to rebuild after I get an idea of what can be salvaged. Part of me wants to give up the hobby altogether. I guess I'll figure that out in time. Despite the loss, I'm grateful to be alive, for my family to be alive, and for my home to be okay. I hope everyone here successfully survived this storm and didn't lose anything precious to them. On a technical note, is there a way to wipe put my collection on this site? I really don't want to individually have to delete my books.
