I have several Walking Dead comics that have came in black bags for their 15th anniversary. The problem is each of those issues each have several variant covers. I don't see any way to determine which variant I have unless I open the bag which I have been reluctant to do in fears of devaluing each of the comics. Does anyone have information or advice on how I can safely rectify this problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi, you're not going to devalue the comics if you open the bags, and the standard storage wisdom since a ways after polybags started is that they SHOULD be removed from those cheap bags that MAY help deteriorate the comic faster. The majority of collectors would want the COMIC, and to know which one it is, and not care about the bag. If you ever want to get them pro-graded, the company will take them out of the bags too. The black bags are worthless. Open them and let them breath and be identified!
